This doll is beyond adorable and so well made. I used to play softball when I was younger and I wish these toys were around way back when, since I truly would have loved this doll. She conveys a message I would have loved to hear growing up and also plays a sport I loved playing as a child. I would have greatly identified with this doll! I’m sure your little girls will identify as well.

I also love that she also comes with all her sporty accessories as well. She’s ready to play softball with her little towel, bat, and softball.

All of which fit conveniently in her little back pack. How adorable is that? Too cute!

This doll is a great gift and a great alternative to the dolls you see being sold to little girls now a days. When you walk down any toys for girls aisle in the toy department you’ll see how the dolls go from baby-dolls that need to be cared for to teen-dolls with too-much make-up or dolls that teach girls how to put on make up. The Founder and creator of these amazing dolls Jodi Norgaard has always been involved in sports and for many years has coached “Girls on the Run”, a program which encourages girls to make healthy choices in life through running. Jodi spent two years launching the product, from rough sketch to the fall of 2008 debut of the tennis girl doll at the U.S. Open in New York, where 500 dolls sold out in six days. While designing the doll, she worked very closely with her consultant, her daughter. “She was the perfect person to have involved. She was 10 at the time and she knew exactly what she wanted in a doll.”
