Graduation Memories & Tiny Prints!

Hey All!

Do you remember your graduation? I remember all my Graduations vividly as I was the first person in my family to really graduate every school I ever went to with honors. I’m not trying to toot my own horn or say I’m the smartest person in the world, because I’m really not. I simply worked extremely hard to get good grades in order to make my Mom proud. She worked so hard to send me to private schools all through out kindergarten all the way to High School. Yep, I went to a private Catholic school. So graduating was a huge accomplishment for me in my family, since most of my cousins didn’t do so well in school.

I was determined to be the first in my family to go to college and graduate. I wanted to be 1st amongst my cousins and other family members and immediate family my age, to go to a good college. I actually ended up being the only one to ever graduate college in my family, so it was very important for me to accomplish Graduating.

The Graduation I remember the most was when I graduated from NYU! My entire family for all sides came of to see me graduate. Well as many came as I could get tickets for…

The rest partied with me afterwards. My Mom was sitting so proudly in the audience and my family cheered me on through the entire graduation. They were so proud of me. I felt amazing that day. They made banners and posters to hold up during the graduation. It was a truly loud Hispanic family that day. Knowing that I made my family that proud of me by graduating from such a prestigious school was very important to me as well.

I’m very grateful for the opportunities that my family has given me so that I can succeed. I can only do my best to give that to my family now. When my teen graduates from High School and College I’m sure I’ll be a wreck first of all, but I will be so proud of him as well. And I know exactly where I’ll get his Graduation Congrats cards! From Tiny Prints!

I love Tiny Prints by the way and I think you will too when you check them out!

I wish I could share graduation memories. When I was in school, many moons ago, I hated school so bad that I decided to get out as soon as possible. I took extra classes instead of study hall and even went to summer school so I could graduate at 16 and get out of there. Now I hear people talking about proms, graduations and class reunions and know that I really missed out. A friend of mine, older than I am, went to his class reunion yesterday. They hold it every 3 months because so many are no longer living. I actually envy him, his classmates and their closeness.
