Hey All!
Social media (as in facebook or twitter) can be used as a great way to stay connected with your friends and family. And as great as that is, nothing beats the feeling of getting an unexpected handwritten note or card from a loved one. It just makes you feel special that someone actually took the time to write something out and put it in the mail. People often talk about how they don’t like using snail mail, but I personally love using it as it makes things feel more personal and heartfelt.
I was excited to hear Hallmark decided to bring back the Get Carded Challenge. It’s a fun way for people to connect and reconnect with loved ones, whether it’s a friend, old roommate, neighbor, sibling or even a special kid in your life. Just think of a few of these folks who you want to connect with and for seven days, choose one new recipient and one new card. Just sign, seal and send!
I decided to take the challenge myself and use it as an opportunity to thank my wedding party, maid of honor, and parents who will be in my wedding next year and helping me with the wedding. I thought it would be the perfect way to say thank you for being a part of my special day.
The card were adorable and it was something as simple as just writing a message to say thanks!
I wrote them out one by one and sealed and stamped them!
I knew my maid of honor would love this cute card with a dress on it.
I made sure to thank her for all her help!
I mailed these cards out and a week letter the calls and text messages I got were amazing.
Everyone was thrilled to open this little piece of thanks in the mail. They didn’t expect it and thought it was a sweet gesture. All shared the thought that it’s something that they haven’t done in a long time.
