Hey All!
Are you planning on holding a Halloween party this year or have you held one in the past? We have a Halloween party every year as it’s my favorite Holiday! One thing I love to do is decorate for Halloween. Whether it’s using the decorations I have saved and use every year or making decorations with craft ideas each year. It’s always so much fun to decorate our home for the holiday. I also make a cemetery cake each year using lots of delicious candies as ingredients. There is so much you can do with candy! You don’t just have to eat it, you can decorate with it. I recently came across some fabulous decorating and party ideas using Starburst Candy Corn that were created for Tori Spelling’s Tasty Tips for Halloween Entertaining.
I LOVE Tori Spelling and watched her show all the time! She has some amazing ideas and adorable ideas for decorating with Starburst Candy Corn.
Check out all of Tori’s tips on the Starburst Candy Corn Facebook page. These are just some of the ideas featured above. My favorite of the bunch has to be the Magnificent Mum Balls! I think they are so adorable and creative.
I decided to make the Mum Balls but decided to put my own little twist on it as I didn’t really have a big enough platter to put them on for our decor. I decided to turn the Mum Ball into a topiary.
To make these Mum Balls by themselves here are all the Materials you will need:
- Starburst Candy Corn
- Styrofoam Spheres (anywhere from 3” – 9” in diameter)
- Utility Knife Glue Gun
- optional (To make topiary you’ll also need a stick, flower foam, a small vase, washi tape, and green tissue paper)
STEP 1:
Using a utility knife, cut and remove a small portion of the sphere to create a flat surface for the mum ball to stand. (Or if you’d like to make the topiary, decorate the vase with washi tape how ever you’d like, place a piece of flower foam inside vase, cover with tissue paper.)
STEP 2:
Using a glue gun, attach a row of Starburst Candy Corn in a single color around the middle of the Styrofoam spheres.
STEP 3:
Repeat this step, working row by row, to cover the entire sphere with Candy Corn. Change colors as you reach the top and bottom edges of the sphere. (If making Topiary place completed Sphere mum ball onto a stick and place the stick into the flower foam center in your vase and you’re done.)
These are such fun and adorable ideas you can use for your Halloween decor and parties this year.

What crafts will you be making for Halloween?
