Harry Potter for Kinect Xbox 360! Must have For Kinect! #HarryPotterKinect #Review

Hey All!

Are you a Harry Potter fan? I know me and my family are HUGE Harry Potter fans! Every other day you hear someone screaming Expecto Petronum in my house! I was super thrilled to learn and have an opportunity to review the new awesome game, Harry Potter for Kinect!

It’s truly the perfect game for Harry Potter fans as it combines all the movies and books. The game does include levels for each of the seven books and movies. So don’t worry your favorite books and movies are featured in this game.

Harry Potter for Kinect truly allows you to use your imagination and live out your dreams of being Harry Potter! As Harry you can use your wand in battles, cast spells, get sorted through the sorting hat, you can even shove your wand up the troll’s nose! There is so much you can do with this game it’s amazing! You do this all with your own movements as this is a Kinect game and all the movements are controlled by you!

I gave our teen the game to play since we got it a few days ago, as it’s better as one player game I think. I played it some myself as well since I couldn’t resist Harry Potter. We both loved the different levels of the game. Each level got better and better each time we played! The levels included everything from learning new spells, playing quidditch, dueling and more! You also get to see some of your favorite characters and locations in the game like Hogwarts and Dumbledore.

It’s very easy to play and it also allows you to switch players easily! As you can see it the picture below in the top right corner it will show you the motion to do to perform each task as you stand up to play!

I love this about the Kinect games. They really allow you to get up and move as you play! I always hate seeing my teen just sit there for hours on his video games, but at least with connect he’s being physical as he plays the game. Harry Potter for Kinect does this perfectly! It’s completely different from any other Harry Potter game on the video game market today! It gives you a good amount of physical activity from level to level. You can play this game for hours and get yourself a good workout as you progress from level to level. You will also love being Harry Potter in his wizardly word of magic.

We loved the game and you will too! It should be on those Holiday Gift Lists for sure if you’re looking for a great gift to give your kids or to gift those special Harry Potter fans in your life!

Here is a little more about the game:

The all-new Harry Potter for Kinect video game exclusively on KINECT™ for Xbox 360® allows players to experience Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the wizarding world like never before!  Through the innovative KINECT capability, each player can scan their face to create a wizard avatar in their likeness – and then play as their avatar in the game.   Utilizing controller-free and voice recognition technology available only on KINECT, players will attend Hogwarts, interact with professors, students and friends, call out spells to cast against opponents, brew potions, and even fly as they race on broomsticks to be the first to catch the Golden Snitch in a Quidditch match.   Harry Potter for Kinect allows players, for the first time, to attend Hogwarts as part of the wizarding world.

The GAME FEATURES:

  • For the first time, create a witch or wizard character in your likeness that will become part of the gameplay through KINECT’s scanning technology.
  • Experience unforgettable moments from all eight films — from having your wand choose you at Ollivanders and being Sorted as a first-year student at Hogwarts, to battling You-Know-Who in a climactic wizard battle.
  • Cast spells at your opponents by performing the proper casting maneuvers and calling out spell names utilizing KINECT’s controller-free and voice recognition capabilities.
  • Hone your casting, brewing and duelling skills (among others) in class to unlock even more lessons and challenges.
  • Challenge a friend in competitive mini-games, or join forces against a mutual opponent in co-op games.
  • Jump, duck and dodge the wild branches of the Whomping Willow, swipe at annoying and sometimes dangerous pixies, repel terrifying Dementors, swim among Grindylows in the lake, and shove opponents out of the way as you soar above the Quidditch Pitch.
