As you’ve seen me showcasing on a number of posts it’s Hispanic Heritage Month and being that I’m Puerto Rican and Cuban this is a month that I love to celebrate! I love to showcase my pride to be a Hispanic in this country! Hispanics are the largest population in this country and I’m happy to share that Verizon FiOS is also celebrating Hispanic Heritage month with a promotion that will help educational programs on their Facebook page until Monday, October 15th.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, FiOS will be giving away $10,000 to three Verizon-supported educational organizations that foster efforts in the Hispanic community. Fans who “Like” their Facebook Page will be prompted to vote for their favorite charity and will be afforded the opportunity to learn more about Verizon’s’ commitment to education via a branded video. Each nonprofit will be awarded the percentage of votes they receive during the duration of the program. Partner charities will include Hispanic Scholarship Fund, Excelencia in Education, and ASPIRA.
This is a fabulous way to showcase that Hispanic pride this month as well as to help support a great cause. If you’re a Latina, Latino or Hispanic in general visit their Facebook to support this cause and show your pride this month! I always break out and scream Boriqua and La Raza as I put my fist in the air this month and you should too! I am trying to showcase my pride in anyway I can. Whether it be through a post or sharing on Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. I wish I could do more to showcase my Hispanic pride, but at least I’m supporting Verizon FiOS in this amazing event.
