Hey All!
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to partner with Olympus on a fun campaign to document my adventures going to the amazing holiday street festivals/fairs that take place here in Los Angeles. I do a ton of my Christmas shopping at these festivals and I thought it would be great to capture those moments of finding the perfect gift. We always remember to capture the moments when the person gets their gift and opens it, but we never capture the special moments of trying to find a thoughtful and meaningful gift. This year, I wanted to change that and thanks to Olympus, I was able to capture some fun holiday festival experiences with my hubby. They were kind enough to send me a snazzy and adorable Olympus PEN E-PL7 camera and M.ZUIKO14 – 42mm II R Black Lens to use to do this. I’m in love with this camera since it takes some amazing photos and it’s pocket size. Just look at that little mini lens cap above! It’s too cute!
The Olympus PEN is perfect for me as it’s built for life on the go. I’m always on the go during the holidays and this camera is great to carry along with me. It’s compact, easy to carry, offers automatic setting, and has a vintage style with modern technology. I love anything with a vintage style to it. It makes me feel like I’m a real photographer! It also has social sharing technology built into the camera for easy sharing with a 180° Flip Touch Screen for the perfect selfie. That’s perfect for me being the blogger and social media addict that I am. I’m always wanting to share my daily experiences and this camera allows me to beautifully capture those experiences and share them.
When you’re on the market for a camera, you definitely want to invest in a camera that produces high quality images, be compact, durable and it has to be stylish/sleek just like the PEN. Sometimes you want a camera that is better than your phone and can still be perfect for on-the-go, like the PEN. I took it to a few holiday fairs/street festivals around Los Angeles as I was searching for the perfect gifts for friends and family, along with some inspiration for holiday projects. I’m always inspired by all the amazing makers here in Los Angeles.
We first went to the California Made Holiday Market. There wasn’t really anything to purchase or photograph as it was 3 rooms in a building with not many makers or vendors. It was a bit disappointing to say the least.

We then waited for the Artists & Fleas Street Festival to happen. I knew I would find some amazing products there as I had some friends with booths in this festival as well. It was double the fun for that reason. I get to see friends and shop for the holidays. Win-win! Going to street festivals is one of my favorite things to do.

These hand made textiles and dishware was absolutely stunning. I had to snap a picture to remember the maker so I could buy some at a later time. I don’t know about you, but I do that often. If I don’t have a budget to buy something in that moment, I snap a photo to remember the brand and product, so I can buy it later.

I also found these hilarious balloons with ridiculous sayings on them. I had to get them for some of my friends as I knew they would love them.

I desperately wanted to take this fake cactus home, but it wasn’t for sale. I snapped a pictured of it anyway. I could maybe make one myself one day.

They have the most adorable cards for the holidays. I had to pick some of for some of my besties.

They had so many adorable cards and products at this booth. They partner with other brands to make adorable designed products like this fruit fanny pack. I spent a lot of time at this booth in case you couldn’t tell.

I hope you enjoyed this fun look at one of our shopping adventures for the holidays. It’s always so much fun to go to street festivals to do our shopping. This was our first time going to the Artists & Fleas street festival and I’m glad we got to capture it with our Olympus PEN. Now I have something to remember the amazing time we had there this year. It will remind me to look out for it next year, so we can go again!
