How I’m Taking My Mom To See Mother’s Day!

This post is sponsored by the theatrical release of Mother’s Day, in theaters Friday.

Me-mom

Hey All!

I recently had the amazing opportunity to check out a preview of the new, big-hearted, star-studded ensemble comedy Mother’s Day. It’s a really sweet film from the amazing Garry Marshall, which celebrates the mother of all holidays and mothers everywhere. It also reminds us to embrace the ones we love and to celebrate motherhood in all it’s forms. I truly enjoyed it and may have shed a few tears during some of the lovely touching moments during the film. It stars Julia Roberts, Jennifer Anniston, Kate Hudson, and more! The film comes out on Friday and I’m definitely going to see it again because I enjoyed it so much.

As I watched, I couldn’t help but think of my own mom and how much I miss her. It’s a film that just makes you want to run home and call mom. It brought back so many happy memories of my mother. My mom has always been supportive of anything that I’ve done in life and she’s always let me march to the beat of my own drum. I owe my mother a lot for making me the person I am today. She was always strong yet encouraging when I was an adventurous kid, which allowed me to pursue any dream I may have had growing up. It’s led me to doing what I love, which is to bring you all the brite & bubbly fun I bring you today.

I know my mom would love to see this movie, so I bought her a ticket to see it on Friday, April 29th when the movie comes out. (You can get yours here.) I would love to see it with her, but unfortunately I live in Los Angeles and she lives in New York. That’s not going to stop us from seeing it semi-together though. I loved the film, so I had to see it again and we’re going to do the next best thing to seeing it together. We’re going to video chat on the way to each of our movie theaters and then when the movie comes on we’ll sign off and video chat again after it’s over. We love to talk about movies when they’re over. Since it’s a movie about moms and Mother’s Day, it’s really a day that connects us all no matter where we are.

The film follows so many kinds of families and moms. You can definitely find a piece of yourself in all of the moms and families depicted in the film. You will definitely have moments that you can relate to, regardless of whether you’re a mom or not. If you had any kind of motherly figure in your life, you can relate.
