I love movies! There is no doubt about that. I went to NYU to study film and tv since I love entertainment and movies so much. There is one kind of movie I always enjoy watching and that is a romantic film with an interesting plot twist. I’ve been counting the days until the The Age of Adaline hits theaters as it has all of the above. Even though it’s romantic, it is still a great movie for everyone to enjoy since it has a magical/whimsical element to the film.
In case you’ve never heard of the film it’s about a woman named Adaline Bowman (Blake Lively) will never age another day. She’s had to keep her life a secret and has never been able to settle down with someone to love, living life on the run in order to keep her secret. The film stars Blake Lively, Michiel Huisman, Kathy Baker, Amanda Crew, Harrison Ford, and Ellen Burstyn. The film had me at this spectacular cast! Who doesn’t love Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn?! They are spectacular in any roll they play.

This film touches on romance and finding your true love, which I can relate to since I found and married my true love last May. That’s who I’ll be seeing this film with of course on our weekly date night. I can’t imagine what it must be like for this poor woman to have to go through time and being unable to age while watching everyone she loves around her pass away. It’s such a heart wrenching thing to think about and I can’t wait to see how it’s depicted in this unique film.
The film itself look like it’s visually stunning in the way it was shot. I love when a fill looks beautiful and has a unique and beautiful story. The attention to detail on the look and feel of the fashions through the decades makes the film look like it’s going to be so rich visually and whimsical.
Not knowing if Adaline will be able to keep here secret makes the film suspenseful and the thought of her finding her true love makes it also hopeful. It’s the kind of romantic film I love to see!
As I mentioned before I can’t wait to see the film and I’m counting down the days!
This movie will be released April 23rd nationwide! Run out and see it!
