Hey All!
I recently learned I am 30 pounds over weight and almost 40% body fat. I know…I’m not healthy. It’s not something I like to admit or tell anyone. When I first found out, I was really depressed about it. I think I was in denial about my weight. I eat mainly because of stress and this is the heaviest I’ve ever been in my entire life! It all has to do with the stress of working, going to school at night, planning our wedding, trying to keep the family together, and doing this blog. It’s a lot to handle and I admit I have not been handling it well. I could eat and wallow and continue to blame this and that for my weight or I could do something about it.
I got off my butt and started working out again. I knew I needed to put me first for a change and I’m already noticing a difference. I already feel 2x stronger!
I recruited a friend to help me work out as she runs marathons and is all about the fitness. She has me doing all kinds of exercises when we’re together.
I know I’m on the right path to becoming a better me health wise. I also made myself an amazing planner to manage my work and blogging better so I’m less stressed.
I’m in love with my planner and it’s making me so much happier and less stressed since I’m keeping myself organized.

I used to allow a family member I was close to critisize me over everything I did. It could be the smallest thing. When I left from being around her I felt utterly deflated and questioned everything I’d done around her. So during the last little nit pick session I told her to keep her opinions to herself. I’ve not spoken to her in over a month. Yes some people might think that’s a bit extreme. But in this last month I’ve learned that I don’t need anyone’s opinions to define who I am.

Living on my own and learning to take care of myself.
When I spent almost a month with my friend while he lived in the hospital… he was a heart transplant patient. I watched everything he went through, I saw the other children there… the families waiting and praying for the organ donations that would save their loved ones lives. My friend checked himself out of the hospital shortly after they told him he would have to have a second transplant… two days later I held him as he died of heart failure. I was in my early twenties, still young when death didn’t cross my mind much. I learned not to take anything for granted, to cherish the moments I have with my loved ones and to try to live my life to the fullest. Sometimes I forget, I get caught up in every day stresses and worries and craziness but then I remember and I step away from all the stress and remember what is most important and I remember to enjoy every moment I have with my family, especially my daughter. I didn’t realize it then because it was such a tragic event to handle but it made me a stronger person.
