Hey All!
Summer is when I’m the most healthy, because I tend to be more active during this time and I also work out and eat healthier. I know this shouldn’t be the only time that I focus on this, so I’m saying “NO MORE” ! I should be staying active and healthy all year long. I’m focusing on healthy living for the year and it’s beginning now thanks to my Rubbermaid® Freshworks™. I’m eating more healthy snacks (like berries) more often and it’s because of these awesome storage containers. Don’t get me wrong, I can never give up my ice cream, but I can cut back and eat it in moderation. As I should be!
I’m going to be eating berries and other in season healthy fruits and produce all year long.
It’s great to have a way to keep my berries stored and ready for me to eat when ever I want something to snack on.
They come in three different sizes (Small: $9.99; Medium: $12.99; Large: $15.99) and each fits my berries and also my lettuce perfectly. They are also dishwasher safe and BPA free! Love that! They are easy to clean and maintain all year long. How fresh do these berries look folks?! They’ve been in my fridge for almost a week! They do not look that far off from when I bough them in the store.
I’m also taking swimming lessons and I’ve already learned how to float! Yes folks, I can’t swim! Thankfully, I know how to float and doggy paddle with the pool noodles. I can keep myself floating and get some exercise in the process. I’m doing this all year long, until I’m a master swimmer. I can do it all year long since it’s an indoor pool. Woot!
I’m going to start taking my pool floats to the pool filled with berries, so I can float and eat my berries at the same time.
They are the perfect snack to munch on when you’re floating and relaxing.
Who wouldn’t love a unicorn pool float filled with berries?! I know I do!
Another thing I’m incorporating into my yearly health routine is drinking green juice every morning.
My green juice consists of:
- 2 Leaves of Organic Kale (just use the leaf part not the stalk)
- 4 Leaves of Organic Spinach
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 2 Sprigs of Organic Mint Leaf
- 1 Whole Organic Apple of any kind peeled.
- Small Slice of Organic Ginger Root
It gives me a good energy boost in the morning and it will help keep me energized through out those winter months.
Swimming, drinking green juices, staying active, eating berries and healthy foods, and running a few half marathons are all the ways I’m going to keep myself healthy and fit all year long.
