Please join the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of America “Latino Bigs” campaign, Myself, and Latina Mom Bloggers as we discuss how YOU can volunteer to become a Latino Big in 2013. Latino Bigs will be on hand to share their current stories of supporting a ‘little.’
LatinoBigs change the lives of children. Compared to children not in the BBBS program, Latino Littles are LESS likely to skip school, use drugs and begin drinking alcohol. Children matched in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs maintain or improve educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors and socio-emotional competency. Latino Bigs participants are also more likely to graduate and be prepared for employment.
