I had the amazing opportunity to review the unbelievably fabulous 2012 KIA Optima Hybrid! It really was an amazing car and I was in LOVE with it. I kid you not I cried when they took it away and a little piece of me still hurts since I miss this car so much. Kia Santa please send me this car for Christmas. It would make the perfect any time gift for moms. This car is so sleek and snazzy people constantly mistook it for a BMW I kid you not!
This KIA Optima Hybrid is beyond cool and has new enhancements such as awesome front and rear fascias, underbody pan, and grill shutters.
You can save a bundle with this car being a Hybrid as I had it for two weeks and drove it to Disneyland and back and all around LA and seriously never had to fill it once. It didn’t even make it to half a tank a gas by the end of the two weeks. The gas gauge never moved the entire time! I loved it! Not having to go wait in lines at costco for cheap gas is like a small miracle to me. This car is a miracle maker for sure. It can give you a gas milage of 35 MPG while driving in the city and 40 MPG while driving on the highway. Another amazing feature of the KIA Optima Hybrid’s system is it saves fuel consumption as well as cuts emmissions when the vehicle stops and the electrical load is low! So it’s an eco friendly car!
The car not only looks good but it has an amazing system working on the hood!
The wheels on the car were a favorite of my teen as he said they looked like something a transformer would have on it’s vehicle when it was in vehicle form, which apparently makes it very cool. This vehicle also comes with a 5 star crash safety rating! So it will keep you and your family safe as you drive them around in this spacious fabulous vehicle.
This car also comes with the push button starter which is beyond cool. You don’t need a key but you need just the little remote keychain that opens the doors and the car will sense it is in the car and start the car. The car is ridiculous QUIET and you won’t even know it’s turned on if you didn’t see the words “Ready” in green in the dash board to let you know the car is ready to drive. The engine makes no noise when you start it! It also says welcome when you turn the car on and has an automatic locking door system that locks all the doors the second you put the car in reverse. I can’t tell you how much I love that feature as I’m always screaming at my family to lock the doors before I drive off in our current old toyota.
The KIA Optima Hybrid also has electronic stability control and an anti-lock braking system, dual front airbags, dual front seat mounted side airbags and side curtain airbags. Safety comes first with Kia! It also tells you goodbye when your turn the car off as you can see in the pictures below.
The KIA Optima Hybrid also has many mommy friendly features like cup holders everywhere and auto locks!
A compass built into the rear view mirror that tells you if you’re going north, south, east, or west. I love that since I can never tell when I’m going north or south. We’re originally from NYC and I grew up just knowing uptown and downtown, not north and south. The AC system is also amazing and has duel controls which allow you to set the temperature of the air conditioning on one side to a certain temperature and the other passenger side to something different, which is a god send to me since I’m always hot and the rest of my family is always cold. I can now freeze myself and leave everyone else feeling comfortable in the car.
The car also has an amazing UVO media entertainment system with touch screen and with the XM Sirius radio! The screen also shows you whats behind you as you are backing up and allows you to sync your smart phones to it so you can use blue tooth and speak over the speaker system if you get a call. So you can do really hands free talking on the phone!
Besides how beautiful this car is to drive and how amazing the gas mileage is my absolute other favorite thing has to be the two A/C Adapters and USB port which also imported and charged my iphone! I also loved how the controls were built into the steering wheel and the wheel was the perfect size for my hands.
I can go on and on about how much I love this car but I highly recommend you go to your local Kia Dealership and test drive and get one for your special wife, mom, or family asap. You will love it just as much as I do I promise!
