I know when I was a kid and my family wasn't that well off, my Mother would always put things on Layaway for me. It's nice to see when a company and shope I love like Kmart is still doing this today and offering free layaway. This will come in expecially handy for all those big holiday gifts. I know that's how she got me my nintendo when I was a kid. There is nothing worse having to go christmas shopping with your kids and get up to the counter to pay and find out that you can't afford the gifts or your store doesn't offer a layaway program. This has happened to me with my own kids and it's such a horrible feeling. You feel like a failure.
I know I've never had that problem at Kmart and it has become our place of choice for layaway. Why go anywhere else if Kmart has everything you need right? And now it's even better since you can put it on layaway! Who ever invented layaway should get extra presents on Christmas in my opinion. Like I would love to get this Leap Frog Explorer for the kids for Christmas and I'll be definitely be putting it on layaway.
Kmart is also having a fabulous giveaway just in time for the holidays, that will give you the extra incentive to use their layaway program for your holiday items. It's called the Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway and you could win Kmart paying off of the balance of your layaway every week! That's amazing to think you could get all your Holiday Gifts for free! The “Big Layaway Giveaway” means there is one layaway giveaway per store per week every week from 9/9/12 through 11/17/12.

We've already begin shopping for the Holidays as I like to shop in advance and on black friday. We fill up what we call the "Christmas Closet". It's where we stash away all the gifts until we wrap them and put them under the tree. I know I'll have lots on layaway at Kmart to put in our Christmas closet.
