Hey All!

Back in June I went to a outdoor Cinespia screening of Mean Girls and I made a jacket to wear to the event to celebrate. I’ve been waiting for months to share this DIY since today is Mean Girls Day! Yes folks. The movie has it’s own day as well! If you remember, Aaron Samuels asks Cady in class what day it was, and she replied, “It’s October 3rd.” Hence forth October 3rd is Mean Girls Day! I got out all my patches and pins to celebrate, as Mean Girls is one of my favorite movies of all time! I figured you have to be Team Glen Coco or Team Plastics if you’re going to celebrate the day right. We all know you go Glen Coco!

How-To-DIY-Recipes

First you decide how you’d like to make your jacket. You can either make iron-on letters or non-iron-on letters. I chose to do the non-iron on method, since I loved the purple glitter. First you cut out the letters using THIS PRINTABLE and uploading the images into your Cricut Cutting machine.

You can do Team Glen Coco or Team Plastics. You stick on your patches with fabric glue and then stick on your purple glitter vinyl letters in which ever phrase you choose.

You’ll use some fabric glue to secure the letters on as well.

If you do the iron-on method, you’ll cut out your gold iron-on litters with THIS PRINTABLE and your Cricut cutting machine. You’ll iron your jacket where you want the letters to be. You then position your letters on the jacket and place a cloth or towel over them. You then iron the letters on medium heat until the letters are ironed on. You’ll iron on your patches as well.

If you’re team plastics, you can definitely pair it with this shirt! It’s a night shirt, but who cares!
