My 1st Day At Star Wars Celebration Begins With The STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Trailer!

Hey All!

In the duration of this week I’ve been to all over Los Angeles, then to Chicago for a day, and now I’m in Star Wars Celebration letting my Star Wars Geek Flag Fly! I literally got off the plane from Chicago here in Los Angeles, Drove from the airport to Anaheim, California, and camped out over night just so I can see J.J. Abrams (writer/director/producer) and Kathleen Kennedy (producer) kick off Star Wars Celebration with an exclusive new look at STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. That’s called being a die hard Star Wars fan folks!

They spoke about the film and working together to bring this new Star Wars story to life. They also welcomed surprise special guests from the film. Stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaacs as well as veterans of the original saga Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, and Peter Mayhew joined J.J. and Kathleen on the stage.

It was a sight to see. I nearly cried just seeing some of the original cast together once again on one stage. It was a full circle moment for me as I’ve been waiting the majority of my life to see this come to be. I can’t believe the start of this new Star Wars trilogy is almost here!

The talented team of filmmakers and actors shared some behind the scenes photos and info about the upcoming film.

They also brought out R2D2 and the new droid BB8 (which everyone including myself thought was an entirely CG character) to showcase that the new droid is actually real and not entirely CG.

Everyone’s mind was blown (including mine) when this round little droid took the stage. He’s real people!!! He’s real!!! I seriously can’t believe it. He’s amazing, but I do pray they don’t plan on replacing R2D2 with him. No one can replace R2D2!

The panel ended with a surprise debut of a brand new teaser trailer. Check out the video of the experience I had during the first viewing of this trailer below.

This is where the tears finally poured out. I think everyone in attendance cried a little bit when it was done as we couldn’t handle seeing Chewie and Han Solo together again! We cheered by screaming at the top of our lungs along with everyone in the area and tears fell. Grown men including my hubby were crying too! So it’s not just me being an emotional woman cry baby. Grown men wept tears of joy as well and there is no shame in crying for Star Wars folks.

You can check out the trailer itself below.

What a way to kick off my first Star Wars Celebration! I can’t wait for the next 3 days and I am literally counting the days until STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS will be in theaters December 18, 2015!

I will probably ugly cry while I watch it at a midnight screening as I’ll be so happy to finally see it!

Also I almost forgot to mention how obsessed I am with the Twitter #StarWarsEmojis!! Yes folks. STAR WARS EMOJIS are here! The world just feels right now that we have Star Wars Emojis!

Starting today, Twitter users will have even more ways to express their excitement and celebrate their favorite pop-culture phenomenon with exclusive new Twitter #StarWarsEmojis.

Twitter users who post hashtags representing key words associated with specific Star Wars character and legacy themes will see a small emoji-like icon embedded in their tweets. Tweet the following character hashtags: #C3PO #Stormtrooper #BB8 to unlock the first three #StarWarsEmojis.

Sorry in advance as I’m tweeting them like crazy on Twitter as I can’t get enough of these Emojis!

I want them for everything, not just Twitter. Let’s start a petition to get these added with all our emojis permanently.

A new STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Trailer and #StarWarsEmojis equals the best day ever!
