My One Wish Came True With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker!

Hey All!

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is finally out in theatres and I’m thrilled I got the opportunity to see it. I’ve been waiting my whole life for this saga to end and I can’t believe the bittersweet ending is finally here. This is the 11th Star Wars film and the ninth and final film in the Skywalker saga. J.J. Abrams returns to direct as well as the entire core cast returns for this film. Joining the cast is Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Ian McDiarmid, and Billy Dee Williams. I can’t tell you how excited I was to see Lando back flying the Millennium Falcon with Chewbacca. Warning! This is not going to be a spoiler free review. I’m going to share my favorite parts of the movie. So if you don’t want anything spoiled for you, then don’t proceed past this point. You have been warned!

Here is a synopsis of the film:

After the events of The Last Jedi, the Resistance continues to struggle along in its battle against the might of the First Order, now led solely by Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. As Rey continues her Jedi training, she and her Rebel friends are called upon for the Resistanceā€™s most important mission. Rumors of an secret enemy raising a massive, clandestine fleet spurs the heroes on a hunt for the source of this new threat. Along the way, Kylo Ren pursues Rey, hoping to bring her to the Dark Side, armed with knowledge regarding her own identity, as Rey struggles to discover her destiny.

First off, I love that there is more C-3PO in this film! He has a larger role in this film and is even taken a long on a mission. It’s very reminiscent of the original Star Wars films.

I cried when I saw Lando on the screen! He’s back! I will say he doesn’t have a large role, but at least he’s back!

There are multiple, yes multiple lightsaber battles between Rey and Kylo Ren that are pretty awesome.

R2-D2 and C-3PO are reunited and have some funny banter. Just like the good old days! C-3PO does not die like the trailer makes it seem like he will.

And last but not least, THERE ARE EWOKS IN THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I REPEAT! WE GOT TWOOOOOO!

I literally asked JJ if there would be Ewoks in his last Star Wars film and he mocked me! He acted like he would never put them in a movie. Well never say never JJ! I’ve asked every Star Wars Director “Where are the Ewoks?” and finally JJ has succumb and put my beloved Wicket into the film. It’s just for a second, but my prayers were answered! I literally screamed and jumped out of my seat in the theater when they appeared on screen. I was that happy! I love me some Ewoks with a hardcore passion. They were in freaken Endor! There is no way an Ewok would not appear. Thank you JJ for giving me something!

The film is enjoyable, well shot, and there is a lot of fan service through out the film. I know there are a lot of critics and fans that are complaining about the film. I’m a huge Star Wars fan. I’m talking nerd who has a storage unit of Star Wars toys kind of fan. Being the huge fan that I am, I honestly got what I wanted. I got my Ewoks, so I can’t complain. That’s all I wanted. I could literally have just watched a whole movie of an Ewok dancing and would have been happy. I’m kidding!

If you’re a Star Wars fan it’s a must see to see how this incredible saga comes to an end.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is in theatres now! YUB NUB!
