Hey All!
As you know I have low vitamin D which I find also contributes to the effects of my Crohn’s Disease. I try to always make sure to take my vitamin D every day since I try to be really serious about keeping myself healthy for my family. I take Nature Made Vitamin D since I find it works well for me and it’s very affordable. Vitamin D is a nutrient that supports the absorption of calcium, it also supports breast, colon and prostate health, and contributes to the maintenance of a healthy mood. On top of that, a multitude of studies support its role in immune health. It is also an anti-inflammatory if you didn’t know and is also known the “sunshine vitamin.” Hence why I live in a state with a lot of Sunshine so I can get a lot of Vitamin D. Your body produces Vitamin D when your outside in the sun. I digress…
Vitamin D can also be found in in supplements like fish oil and cod liver oil which I also take along with probiotics. Vitamin D is Calcium’s little buddy. It helps your body absorb calcium in the blood stream, which is vital to maintaining bone strength and tooth health. Calcium without Vitamin D is insoluble, and cannot be absorbed by the body. Vitamin D develops strong bones and teeth, and if we suffer from a deficiency of it we are more prone to fractures and cavities. Maintaining healthy levels of Vitamin D in your body has been shown to be an important part of your overall health. Vitamin D supports teeth, bone and immune health. Ensuring healthy levels of Vitamin D in your body may promote heart health. Here is a video below you can watch to learn a little about Vitamin D!
As soon as we get in we see this amazing display for the holidays as well as displays for toys for tots and their layaway program. Gosh I LOVE the holidays!
I love the countdown clock they have in front of the tree! I wanted to buy it but it wasn’t for sale. We immediately headed for the Vitamins section to get my Vitamin D. I was on a mission for Vitamin D and the rest of the stuff we needed for thanksgiving dinner. I went with my fiance as we like to shop at like 7:30am on a Sunday and my teen would rather stay home than do that so we usually shop with out him when we do grocery shopping.
We head straight for the vitamin section when we first get in!
They have a great assortment of Vitamin D at reasonable prices too! I also have a coupon for $1 off any Nature Made vitamin.
I decide on the liquid softgels 2000 IU of Vitamin D! I like liquid gels as I feel liquid gels get in my system faster. But that’s just me.
After our vitamin mission is complete we go around Walmart getting all the rest of the stuff we need for Thanksgiving. Like ham, pans, celery, carrots, etc. I made a GOOGLE + Slide Show of my entire shopping trip that you can see by CLICKING THE PHOTO BELOW!
If you don’t take Vitamin D I highly recommend you start as 40% of Americans over 50 suffer from some kind of deficiency of Vitamin D. I highly recommend Nature Made Vitamin D since it works great for me. They are my brand of choice and you can find them at your local Walmart. I also hope you finished all your Thanksgiving shopping as well. We did and I can’t wait to get cooking can you? Stay Healthy everyone!
