Hey All!
As you all remember, I’m super excited to be a part of the Net10 Wireless Phones Test Drive Program! As part of this program I recently received the Net10 Wireless LG Optimus Net Phone to review. This phone is a prepaid phone on the service in case you didn’t read my previous post to know what Net10 is all about!
I was very excited to try it as I haven’t really used a prepaid phone much and I have always had paid contract services. I couldn’t wait to get it activated and the phone set up so we could play with all the cool features and apps.
Setting it up was super easy as you can do it online through the Net10 Wireless Website! It came with very easy to follow instructions on how to get the phone set up, which I was thankful for! I’m not used to having to load my phone with minutes. It came with everything I needed to get the phone activated and I love that all the instructions were in English and in Spanish!
After I activated it online and verified my number on the site, my account was set up and my phone was ready to use with in about 5 minutes total time. That’s how fast and easy it was to set up! I powered it up and started to download all my favorite apps and set up all my email accounts and social media accounts.
This amazing phone features all of the following!
- Android 2.3 operating system Helps you remain productive on the go.
- 3G speed Offers quick and easy connection speeds.
- Wi-Fi connectivity For Internet capability on the go (additional fees may apply).
- Bluetooth compatibility For wireless communication with a Bluetooth-enabled device.
- 3.2″ HVGA color touch screen Provides a clear view of your text messages, pictures and videos. Virtual QWERTY keyboard makes texting and typing simple.
- Store contacts, photos and videos With 4GB internal memory; microSD card slot (media not included).
- 3.0MP digital camera With digital zoom captures detailed still images.
- MP3 player Lets you listen to your favorite tracks right from your mobile phone.
- Hands-free speakerphone Allows you to keep both hands on the wheel while driving.
- Vibration alert Notifies you of incoming calls even when you’ve silenced your phone.
- Up to 5 hours talk time and up to 10 days standby With included lithium-ion battery.
The Android 2.3 operating system runs perfectly on this phone and was very easy to navigate and learn. If you’re not familiar with Android devices, don’t worry it’s very easy to learn! I was super excited to find that all of my favorite apps were very easy to find in the Android store and Google Play store. You can see some of them in the picture below.
I had to have my twitter and Pinterest apps of course! There are thousands of apps that you can choose from, so the sky is the limit on choosing fun games, social media apps, and photo apps! And don’t worry about filling up your phones hard drive with apps, the LG Optimus Net comes with a 4 GB micro SD card and it can fit up to a 32 GB micro SD card so you can store files and apps onto it so it doesn’t take up space on your phone. It also makes it easier to transfer your info onto another phone should you need to! The actual phone service runs on a 3G that was very fast and happy to report that it didn’t drop any calls. It also connects via wifi as well so you can download your apps very quickly.
The screen is a little over 3 inches and is a vivid color touch screen! It makes the apps and menu look very appealing to the eye and it also allows you watch videos and look as your photos in a very clean and crisp way. Speaking of photos, it comes with a 3.2 mega-pixel camera that does zoom and has many options that you can set to make sure you’re taking the best photos. Of course you’ll want to upload all those photo’s via instagram of course, which is available for Androids. It also has a great battery on it. You can play with apps and use the phone for phone calls for hours with out it dying. I was shocked by how long the battery lasted with all the usage it was getting.

I need to check into this company for my daughter, she is forever breaking/losing/corrupting her iphones and she doesn’t even use all of the apps. Total waste of money!
I love my LG phone!
Now that is cool! I love the huge screen and the camera sounds great. I’m addicted to Instagram too so this would be a great phone for me as well.
It’s gorgeous!
I may be interested in this come December when my contract is up
Looks awesome….but it’ll be VERY hard to separate me and my iPhone. 😉
It sounds like a great alternative to buying a phone with a long contract for a teenager.
We used a prepaid phone service for my daughter, Sammi when she was visiting my older daughter. No worries about overage charges!
That looks so cool! I don’t know if I could give up my iPhone, though… Maybe one day they’ll work together?
Oh the gadgets, how I love them but they don’t love me!
love it! Can’t wait to use mine on our day out 🙂
