Hey All!
There was no way I wasn’t going to not write about the EPIC experience that was going to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere! Thanks to the amazing folks at Verizon for the amazing opportunity to attend! I thought since today is the day the movies come out, I should share with you the incredible experience of the most EPIC movie premiere in the history of Hollywood. I’m not exaggerating when I say this. I have never seen or experienced anything like it and I probably never will again!
As soon as we parked our car we were greeted by Star Wars elevators.
We came out to the longest and largest tent covered red carpet I have ever seen. Star Wars was projected on it!
A picture couldn’t even fit the entire red carpet, it was that long!
Hopefully these images give you a sense of just how long it was.
It was a sight to see!
Even the entrance to the red carpet was incredible. Being here, I didn’t even notice it was only like 42 degrees outside and windy.
We took a million and one pictures just of the entrance. It’s like we couldn’t believe we were there.
When you first came in you treated to what I have now named the disco light saber lights and slew of storm trooper costumes from the film.
You can see them in action below.
Pardon the bad pictures as I only had my iPhone and it does not take good pictures in the dark. Here I am sneaking a picture of John Lassator since I’m too afraid to break through his entourage and ask him for one.
There was a Star Wars themed car on display with it’s own space girl guards.
There was LEGO versions of Rey, Kylo Ren, A tie fighter, and BB-8!
We took pictures any where we could!
Let me not forget to mention any celeb you can think of was here.
I got some pictures with some of them like Zach Braff and Donald Faison.
George Lucas the maker was there and so was Steven Spielberg. I was in the same theater as them as we saw the film. Insane!
Carrie Fisher was there with her daughter Billie Lourd, who I had no idea was her daughter! You may recognize her daughter as Chanel #3 from Scream Queens! LOVE HER!
All right, all right, all right Matthew McConaughey was there. I died. I said hi to tons of people but didn’t ask them for pictures.
The Nerdist was there!
The sexiest couple alive Sofía Vergara and her new hubby Joe Manganiello were there. I wanted to let them wait in line with us to get our cell phones since they had to go to the back of the line, but the hubby wouldn’t let me since he said it would look bad if we let them skip everyone. I didn’t care!
I actually walked to the after party with Billie Dee Williams!! I told him I want Lando in the next movie!
I told Joseph Gordon Levitt I loved his costume and we were actually sitting only a few seats away from him. I could have died and gone to heaven as I love Joe with a passion. Like I told my husband I dream of Joseph Gordon Levitt the love is that serious. I kid you not!
I met Dane Cook, who had me watch his stuff so he could go take a picture with R2-D2. I kid you not! This happened folks.
He did take a picture with us to say thank you.
We saw Kylo Ren himself Adam Driver, Harrison Ford, John Boyega, Carrie Fisher, and basically everyone in the movie and who made the movie at the after party.
I can’t even tell you how many people were there celebrity wise because it seemed like everyone in gods creation was there and the red carpet area, where the after party was held, was so large you just couldn’t find everyone!
Again we took tons of pictures to remember this epic night.
And we ate some of the best food and Star Wars themed tasty treats ever!
It was a night I will never forget!
Thanks so much for Verizon for giving us the opportunity to attend this amazing once in a lifetime event and congrats to Disney for pulling off the Red Carpet to end all Red Carpets!
Run out and see the film asap folks!
