Hey All!
Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity to host an advanced viewing partly for the first two episodes of “The Neighbors”, a new half-hour sitcom that features the comedic story of a family moving to a new home only to find out they’ve moved into a community of aliens! It’s hilarious and the aliens truly make this show!
Here is a little more about the show from ABC:
Marty Weaver (Lenny Venito) just wants the best for his wife, Debbie (Jami Gertz), and their three kids. That’s why he’s moving them to Hidden Hills, New Jersey, a gated community complete with its own golf course. Marty is certain that their new home will be a dream come true. And then, they meet the neighbors.
The residents of Hidden Hills are a little… different.
I have been dying to see this show since we saw “The Neighbors” booth at Comic Con and were given our Alien cover names. I was Kristy Yamaguchi! Since we just moved, I also thought this would be a great way to meet our own neighbors by inviting them over for a little advanced viewing party of the first two episodes. We invited some friends and family over as well. ABC was kind enough to send me the episodes and some goodies to host my guests.
I had these amazing “The Neighbors” cookies made to celebrate! They were modeled after the show logo!
How perfect did these cookies come out!
They were just as big of hit at the party as the show was.
We had an amazing time watching both episodes!
Everyone loved the show and I highly recommend you tune in on September 26th for the series premiere of “The Neighbors” and keep watching every Wednesday night cause I can assure you that you don’t want to miss that second episode as it just gets funnier and funnier. The way the Aliens deliver their lines is absolutely perfect and laugh out loud funny at times.
“The Neighbors” stars Jami Gertz as Debbie Weaver, Lenny Venito as Marty Weaver, Simon Templeman as Larry Bird, Toks Olagundoye as Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Clara Mamet as Amber Weaver, Tim Jo as Reggie Jackson, Ian Patrick as Dick Butkus, Max Charles as Max Weaver and Isabella Cramp as Abby Weaver.
“The Neighbors” was created by Dan Fogelman (“Cars,” “Tangled,” “Crazy, Stupid, Love”), who is also an executive producer with Aaron Kaplan (“GCB,” “Terra Nova”), Jeff Morton (“Modern Family”) and Chris Koch (“Workaholics,” “Modern Family”), who also directed the pilot..
