Our Perfect Mini Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich!

Hey All!

For the summer, weā€™re usually out and about enjoying some fun in the sun each weekend. We have to take some snacks and food to eat with us while weā€™re out for our family weekend extracurricular activities! Going out every weekend can get pricey, especially when weā€™re running around with kids. One great snack that tastes amazing all day long is, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! We of course use JifĀ® Creamy Peanut Butter and Smuckerā€™sĀ® Strawberry Jam for our PB&J sandwiches.

The kids love them, because I make our perfect mini peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. We really #PBLove these sandwhiches! I add a touch of sprinkles to them to make them fairy PB& J mini sandwiches. Who doesnā€™t love anything with sprinkles on it? They are the perfect size for little hands and the crust becomes sprinkle edges instead. Itā€™s a fun little hack to a traditional peanut butter & jelly sandwich.

We buy our JifĀ® Creamy Peanut Butter and Smuckerā€™sĀ® Strawberry Jam whenever we take a shopping trip to Walmart. They always have our yummy creamy JifĀ® in stock and our favorite Smuckerā€™sĀ® jams. In case you didnā€™t know, JifĀ® Peanut Butter has 7 grams of protein, which is what helps keep the kids energy up when weā€™re running around. Having a PB&J sandwich for lunch ā€œPowers Their Dayā€ when weā€™re running around!

If youā€™d like to try making our perfect mini fairy bread peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, here is how to make them.

  • JifĀ® Creamy Peanut Butter and Smuckerā€™sĀ® Strawberry Jam.
  • Thick White Bread (Or any bread of your choosing).
  • Small Bread Shaped Cookie Cutter.
  • Rainbow Round Jimmies Sprinkles.
  • Butter Knife.

First you cut out your mini bread slices using your bread shape cookie cutter from the bread. You can make two slices of mini bread out of one regular slice of bread, if your bread is wide enough. Youā€™ll cut out two mini slices of bread for each mini sandwich youā€™d like to make.

You then place the JifĀ® Peanut Butter onto one side of the mini bread. I only like to place it onto one side of the mini bread. I like equal proportions of peanut butter and jelly in my sandwiches and the family seems to enjoy it that way as well.

I like to make sure I get a decent amount of peanut butter in the sandwich. I tend to prefer creamy peanut butter, as opposed to the crunchy peanut butter as well.

After your peanut butter is on, youā€™ll then proceed to adding your Smuckerā€™sĀ® Strawberry Jam. I like to place the jam onto the side of mini bread that does not have the peanut butter on it.

I combine the sandwich by placing the peanut butter side of mini bread on top of the jam covered slice of bread. Once your sandwiches are assembled, you can then add some sprinkles. I add sprinkles in two different ways to our sandwiches.

First, I like to add some peanut butter to the edges of the mini sandwiches and then dunk the edges into the sprinkles in a bowl.

This gives them a fun fairy bread look. If the kids are not in a mood for too many sprinkles, then I just sprinkle a few on the top of the sandwich. It will look like how you see below.

Just a cute little sprinkling of sprinkles at the top or on the edges makes some little magical tasty treats.

And thatā€™s how you make our perfect mini fairy bread peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. You can put them in your kidsā€™ backpacks or in your purse when youā€™re running around for the summer.

You can also place them in your kidsā€™ lunches for back-to-school time. They are the perfect mini sandwiches for any occasion.

I hope you and your family enjoy them as much as we do!
