Our Spring Break Road Trip Survival Kit Essentials!

Road-Trip-Essentials-Weight-Watchers

Hey All!

I love going on road trips with my family. We primarily start taking our road trips when the kids get out for Spring Break. That’s usually around the time when road trip season begins for us. There are a few things that are essential to take with us when we hit the road. We can say they are more like traveling life savers as we can’t go on a road trip with out them. I’m sure you have some things you always take with you when you go on road trips to help you survive with your sanity. Here are our Spring Break road trip survival kit essentials and some tips for a successful Spring Break road trip.

My Spring Break Road Trip Survival Kit Includes:

  • A large refrigerated bag like this watermelon bag I have
  • Water
  • A Fold Up Tote bag
  • Car Games, Crayons, and Coloring Books for kids
  • Our Tablets
  • Travel pillow
  • Sunscreen
  • And Salted Caramel Brownie Bliss Bars from Weight Watchers Sweet Baked Goods

I have to keep on my diet when I’m on the road and it’s great to have little mini brownie bites like this that I can easily take with me on the road.

In case you’ve never heard of Salted Caramel Brownie Bliss bars, They are indulgent brownies, layered with rich, real caramel and covered in a chocolaty coating. These are a delicious way to indulge and take a moment during your Spring Break trip without sacrificing your weight management goals.

I’ve been on Weight Watchers for some time and these bars are fantastic. You can sprinkle them with some rainbow sprinkles (which are only 1 point on Weight Watchers by the way) and they taste like a little chocolate cake.

You can enjoy them with sprinkles or with out. With out the sprinkles they are only 2 points per bar. Awesome I know! For those of you who don’t speak Weight Watchers, this means one bar is essentially not a ton of calories per serving.

They are not too chocolaty or rich in flavor. They are the perfect pairing of the the flavors of chocolate and salted caramel. It’s truly blissful to snack on. You can get your chocolate fix with out feeling guilty. If it’s a long road trip I’ll throw a couple of boxes in their so the last me the weeks we’re away from home. There are 6 brownies per box, So two boxes will last you almost two weeks. All our essentials fit perfectly in our road trip watermelon bag.

Now here are my 6 main tips for a successful Spring Break road trip:

1. Map out your trip, but allow for impromptu stops along the road.

2. Get a good night’s rest the night before and alternate drivers throughout your trip.

3. Keep a water bottle in hand to stay hydrated on your drive.

4. Make sure your snacks are easily accessible so you can grab them when hunger strikes.

5. Pack a backpack for your kids complete with coloring books and fun activities they can do on the road.

I love when companies stand behind their products like this! There are so many bad tasting drinks and bars that you never really know if it’s worth it. Keeping this in mind for our summer roadtrip to Miami Beach. 18 hours of driving and 3 kids calls for treats for parents and kids 😉
