Hey All!
Do you all remember my previous post where I shared my mood board for our upcoming Strawberry Spring Fling? Well we finally held our strawberry celebration and boy was it fun! In case you didn’t get a chance to read my previous post, I decided to host a strawberry-themed Spring Fling party for my family. The color inspiration for our Spring Fling was red and I ran with it as you can see. We had strawberries everywhere and delicious treats to eat from JELL-O brand that were strawberry flavored!
I poured a lot of love and hard work into this strawberry-themed Spring Fling. I made three awesome JELL-O brand recipes.
For drinks I made the JELL-O Gelatin Strawberry Snow Cones to sip on with some fun, fruity straws. Check out the recipe on how to make them below.
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
- 1 cup pureed strawberries
- ½ cup light corn syrup
- ½ cup ice cubes
- 8 cups crushed ice
- ADD boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add berries, corn syrup and ice cubes; stir until ice is completely melted.
- SPOON crushed ice into 8 (8-oz.) paper cups.
- SPOON gelatin mixture over ice. Serve immediately.
I also made some JELL-O Gelatin Strawberry-Yogurt Bites, which were absolutely delicious. You should make these ASAP and host your own Strawberry Spring Fling!
Check out the recipe to make these bites below:
- 3 containers (6 oz. each) strawberry low-fat yogurt
- 1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
- 8 fresh strawberries, halved
- MIX yogurt and dry gelatin mix in 1-1/2-qt. microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 min.; stir. Microwave 2 to 3 min. or until gelatin is completely dissolved, stirring after each minute.
- SPOON into 16 paper-lined mini muffin pan cups. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
- REMOVE yogurt bites from liners; top with strawberries.
I’m also made a rendition of the JELL-O Gelatin Fruity Rainbow Cookies, except I made them look like strawberries and didn’t make them rainbow colors.
Everything was delightful and we had such a great time. We held our Strawberry Spring Fling at a local park so we could enjoy the blooming flowers and a day out doors. We had our snacks…
Our strawberry decorations (which we made ourselves)…
Our strawberry sunglasses…
Our paper flowers to craft in order to celebrate spring…
And our strawberry piñata created the perfect Strawberry Spring Fling!
We had a blast in case you couldn’t tell.
The sunglasses were a hit!
The paper flowers were difficult to make, but we loved how they looked when they were done. Such a fun spring-themed craft!
Guessing our fruity fortunes was a lot of fun as well!
And so was tearing up the strawberry piñata!
The candy that fell out of the piñata (which was also strawberry themed) was also a blast for the kidlets.
But the biggest hit of the entire Strawberry Spring Fling was our tasty JELL-O gelatin treats that we enjoyed nibbling on through out the fun-filled day.
There is nothing better than seeing the ones you love enjoying the food you make.
They loved those JELL-O Gelatin Strawberry-Yogurt Bites!
I even enjoyed them and yes, those are strawberry earrings I’m wearing.
We all dressed in red since red was the theme of our celebration. Out of all the recipes, I think the Strawberry Snow Cones were the favorite as they were the perfect drinks to sip on a warm day in the park.
I sipped, my husband sipped…
And so did the kidlets. We sipped the day away!
Who knew you could drink JELL-O gelatin?! I didn’t! It’s fantastic!
This was such a fun-filled day that truly made you want to spell out and sing J-E-L-L-O! You can check out more fun recipes on the JELL-O brand website.
I hope you enjoyed this colorful look at our Strawberry Spring Fling! Be sure to check out the 2 bloggers who will be participating in the next month’s Jell-O-V-E Challenge as well! They’ll be sharing even more fun with JELL-O!
Thanks to Jell-O brand for allowing me to partner with them to host this Strawberry Spring Fling! I had a blast. Already planning to try this at home with your little ones? I’d love to hear how it goes in the comments below.
