On this Tech Tuesday, I recently had the opportunity to check out the Polaroid Cube. It’s a lifestyle action camera that is small but mighty. It stands at just 35mm and is quite adorable in my opinion! I received the black color with the classic Polaroid rainbow stripe across.

It’s also available in red and blue if black is not your color.

This tiny camera supports Micro SD up to 32GB and shoots video in either Full HD 1080p or 720p. It also takes 6-megapixel still photos. It’s small enough that it fits easily into your pocket or you could easily hold it in your hand. It’s a camera to clip to your backpack or wear around your neck so you are ready in case you see something you can’t wait to “vine” or share on your social media.

The 124° wide angle lens allows you to capture what ever you are trying to shoot easily. If you don’t have an SD card it also has a built in battery and memory that records up to 90 minutes.

It’s weatherproof, shockproof, mountable and built to handle everything you can imagine.  While the Cube does have a rubberized body that is weatherproof, that means you can simply splash water on it. That does not mean you take it diving or swimming! I don’t recommend dunking it into water. It’s not water proof. It still needs a water proof case to be submerged. Polaroid offers a underwater case for the cube for only $24.99.

This magnet on the bottom of the camera securely fastens the camera to any metal surface and without any attachments, which is great.

It easily charges and syncs the photos and videos to your computer by a simple USB cord. It does work for both Mac and PC’s.

It’s easy to use,  compact and lightweight, and most importantly it’s inexpensive! The Polaroid Cube costs only $99 and for that price it’s great for a mobile camera. It would make a great holiday gift idea or stocking stuffer idea. It’s a much more affordable option than those other small portable mobile video cameras out there.
