Hey all!
I’m getting super excited here at Brite & Bubbly as spring is quickly approaching. I love spring as it brings about some lovely vibrant colors as the flowers begin to bloom here in California. It also brings some great weather to go out on some fun adventures with my family. To celebrate the return of spring, I’ve decided to host a strawberry themed Spring Fling party for my family. The color inspiration is red as you can see from my mood board above. I thought to myself, what food is red and fits perfectly for Spring? Two things immediately came to mind: JELL-O and strawberries! Both are my favorite things to eat on a warm spring day with my family. JELL-O holds such a nostalgic feeling to it since I’ve been eating it since I was a child. Who didn’t love spelling and singing along to J-E-L-L-O? It’s always a full circle moment when I see my own family eating it now. There are thousands of things to make with JELL-O, but there’s only one way to make JELL-O and that’s with love.
I’m pouring a lot of love into this strawberry themed Spring Fling. I love to host any party and I always go all out for them. We’re heading out to a great park or garden here in Los Angeles so we can enjoy the blossoms of spring. I haven’t decided which yet, but as long as we’re out of the house I’m happy. I’m making a bunch of fun recipes and crafts that we can do together at the Spring Fling. For recipes I’m making some awesome JELL-O Strawberry Snow Cones to sip on with some fun fruity straws.
I’m also making some amazing JELL-O Fruity Rainbow Cookies, except I’m making them look like strawberries with this awesome cookie cutter. I may make some JELL-O Rainbow Cups if I have time.
We’ll also have fun breaking open a strawberry piñata (which I can’t wait to make), making some paper flowers, and maybe playing with an amazing fruity fortune teller craft I found at the amazing DIY/Craft site Minieco. I’m also bringing along some DIY fruit bingo cards and strawberry confetti poppers.
It’s going to be a fabulous time and I can’t wait to share our fabulous Strawberry Spring Fling with you all.
Stay tuned for my recap post that will feature all the recipes, crafts and DIYs I’ll be making for our Strawberry Spring Fling!
Thanks to Jell-O for allowing me to partner with them to plan this fabulous Spring Fling! I had a blast. Already planning to try this at home with your little ones? I’d love to hear how it goes in the comments below. For more inspiration visit: http://jello.com.
