Rock Of Ages #Movie #Review & Available at #BestBuy!

Hey All!

I recently had the opportunity to see the fantastic Musical film ā€œRock of Agesā€! In case you haven’t heard, it’s the musical that stars Tom Cruise as a fictional rock star Stacee Jaxx! It’s not really a story of his crazed rock star character, but it’s actually a love story that takes place in the Bourbon Room, which is a famous rock venue on the Sunset Strip here in Los Angeles, CA. Tons of amazing rock bands have played there over the years and it’s the story of love trying to flourish and the journey of mixing love and rock and roll. We follow Sherrie (a small town girl who comes to LA to become a singer) and Drew (A small town boy with also dreams to become a singer) as they struggle to keep their love alive through mistaken betrayal, rock and roll, and the changing music seen of the late 80’s.

Alec Baldwin plays the owner of the Bourbon Room Dennis Dupree. Bryan Cranston stars as the mayor and his Evangelical wife Patricia is played by Catherine Zeta-Jones. Patricia is trying to put an end to rock and roll and is on a mission to close down the Bourbon Room. She’s on this mission for a personal vendetta against Staycee Jaxx who wronged her when she was a young groupie of his. Dennis and his partner in crime Lenny played by Russell Brand are doing everything everything they can to fight Patty and to keep their club going, but the lack of money and not paying their taxes is making that extremely hard.

I don’t want to give away everything about the movie. You’ll just have to see it for yourself.

I will say ā€œRock of Agesā€ is really a fun movie filled with some of your favorite songs like “Don’t Stop Believing” and “We Build This City On Rock and Roll.” There is even a duet of REO Speedwagonā€™s ā€œI Canā€™t Fight This Feelingā€ that is actually pretty amazing. It’s a colorful, fun, and non stop rocking musical that will keep you tapping your toes as you watch the film. If you love musicals just as much as I do, I highly recommend you run out and get in on DVD and BluRay on or after October 9th as it will be available on www.bestbuy.com or in Best Buy Stores every where!

I normally don’t like movies made from Broadway shows, however, I enjoyed this one. Just saw it the other day and loved the soundtrack šŸ˜‰
