How many of you are just as excited as me for the return of the Smurfs? I swear I have been counting down the days until the new movie was released a few weeks ago. I loved it since I grew up watching the Smurfs and it was so great to introduce these adorable characters to the next generation. I used to have stuffed Smurf toys and plastic figures to play with, but now your kids can play with something ten times better!
The Smurfs are also back in an all new dancing video game called The Smurfs Dance Party! The Smurf’s Game is based on Sony & Columbia Pictures’ hybrid live-action/CGI blockbuster movie released August 3, 2011 and the best-selling Wii games, Just Dance & Just Dance 2! Now kids and parents can dance to popular, top of the chart songs in this fun, high-energy game with their favorite Smurfs characters.
Rest assured, all the legendary characters and heroes are back! You can dance with Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Clumsy Smurf and more! The moves in the game are iconic and easy to follow dance moves choreographed by real experts in different styles of music! This game has all new modes and songs that let you party for hours of fun! It also has multi-player modes for kids and parents!
The Smurfs Dance Party game is like a Smurf version of the “Just Dance” video games. There are adorable Smurfs on the screen that you follow along and dance with them to songs from the movie. There are also different modes like a story mode that tells the whole story of what the movie is about (so if you haven’t seen the movie yet don’t use this mode or you will get spoilers) and a mode where you can dance to all the songs in one giant loop.
Since we got this game we have had Smurf fever in my home. I was so excited to get the opportunity to review this game since I love the Smurfs and I LOVE the Wii since it allows you to get up and move around to play the games! You get to burn calories as you play which I think is amazing. It’s been the most requested game to be put on the Wii for the past few weeks and I’m happy to say it’s a hit in my home. It’s a game that parents can play with their kids and if you’re like me you’ll find yourself playing sometimes even longer than the kids, or maybe that’s just me? I just think when Smurfette shows up to get her grove on in the game it’s beyond adorable!
Different Smurfs dance at each different song as each Smurf has their own special song! There are also lyrics that you can use to sing along with the music as you dance. This game is very interactive and would be perfect if you’re family has Smurf fever like mine does.
We loved this game in my home and I highly recommend you go out and get it! If you love those Wii games that get you off your feet and if you love the Smurfs then this game is for you! Who wouldn’t want to get their groove on with the Smurfs?
