Summer Fun And Flower Crafts With Otter Pops! #YouOtterKnow & #Giveaway

This post brought to you by Jel Sert. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hey All!

As the summer has arrived there is one cool summer snack we have always loved to have and that is Otter Pops! Honestly we’ve been eating these for years and we recently found out they are actually Gluten Free which makes me love them even more! Our favorite flavors are the Strawberry Short Kook, Little OrphanĀ  Orange, and of course the kids love Louie-Bloo Rasberry since it’s blue. It’s funny how kids love anything that turns their tongues blue.

When we love a product we usually like to google everything about them and we recently discovered Otter Pops has the adorable site www.otterpopstars.com where we learned about all the fun Otter-themed characters called the Otter Pop Popstars!

We loved Kook! The kids have a thing for drummers so they immediately took to Kook.

She also represents on of our favorite flavors, so naturally they loved her.

Here is a little about her:

Full Name: Strawberry Short Kook
Instrument: Drums/Vocals

For her eighth birthday, Kook received a toy drum set from her parents, who were looking for a way to keep her from wrecking the pots and pans and their last nerve. When the neighbors complained about the noise, Kook took her drums to the beach and played on the boardwalk. She was such an amazing drummer that soon everyone in town was asking, “Have you seen that crazy Kook?” “Si,” said Poncho Punch, and together they formed the Otter PopStars. Despite her demure appearance, Kook is in peak physical condition, practicing both Tai Chi and non-fat frozen Yoga.

My kids loved this site and you should take a minute to Chat with the Otter Pop Stars as well. You never know who your kids will love. It could be the charming Poncho Punch or history buff Alexander the Grape? Could it be the sweet Strawberry Short Kook? What about jazzy Louie-Bloo Raspberry, Little Orphan Orange, or Sir Isaac Lime? With six zippy flavors, you’ll never have to choose just one!

All Otter Pops are made with real fruit juice and some varieties have 100% fruit juice. They contain no major allergens which is even more reasons why we love our Otters.

Since we eat so many Otter Pops and we don’t like to be wasteful we decided to make a fun craft with the empty wrappers for the kids to enjoy.

We made some super simple Otter Pop Wrapper Flowers!

I think they are adorable and you can even make them into magic or wizzard wands if you don’t want to make flowers.

To make these you simply need:

  • 3 empty Otter Pops Wrappers
  • Washi Tape
  • Paper Straws
  • Stapler

You simply fold in each side of the wrapper into the center of the wrapper on all three wrappers. Position them on top of each other forming the shape of a flower. Staple all the wrappers together at the center so they hold together.

Staple the flower head to the paper straw to make the stem. Decorate the Otter Pops wrappers with the Washi Tape how ever you’d like. And finally place one piece of Washi tape on the paper straw and cut it to look like a leaf on the flower.

It’s a super simple and easy craft to make. It helps keep all those wrappers out of our trash as well.

We love Otter Pops and if you do as well you may want to visit Otter Pops on Facebook for all the latest on these great treats.
