Hey All!

After seeing clips from the film This is Where I Leave You hitting theaters on September 19th, I was immediately reminded of the upcoming holiday season that is quickly approaching. It’s amazing how quickly the Holidays are approaching. It can be a very crazy, busy, and stressful time to say the least.

We don’t get a lot of family coming for holidays because they are all in Canada and we are in Texas. Last year my Mom & Dad came for Thanksgiving and my sister and her family came for Christmas. That was the first time in 14 years that any one came to our home for Christmas!

I used to have my husband’s family come over for Christmas Eve, but it got to be too much of a hassle… I always travel out of town the day after Christmas, so I don’t need a lot of things to do around the holidays anyways. 🙂

I’m reading the book right now before the movie hits theaters. I can’t wait — love me some Jason Bateman.

Thankfully I don’t have a lot of out of town family. They can all go home!! lol

  • My family is gigantic, and, although we all get along, it’s just a lot of people in small spaces on holidays. We try to save our sanity by mixing whole group activities with smaller groups getting together. It eliminates so much stress.

  • I have a small, close knit family so the holidays are all about special times and love without the added stress. I am definitely thankful for that!
