If you’ve read my blog you know we’re a big geek family and we get excited every time a new Marvel Super Hero movie comes out. You can imagine how excited we were to see The Amazing Spider-Man in the theater and we were even more excited for it to be released on DVD, BluRay, and Ultra Violet. I was lucky to be given an advance copy of the film and thought we should definitely have a party to celebrate!

I decided to go to Walmart to purchase some stuff to set the mood for our Spidey Party! I decided to get two Large Marketside Pizza’s with Spider-Man and the Lizard on the boxes. How could I resist Spider-Man Pizza! I also chose to go to Walmart so I could use my cell phone with my newly downloaded Web Slinger Spider-Man Augmented Reality App! You can find this app on iTunes and Google Play! It allows you to scan the pizza box and various displays at Walmart and you can see Spider-Man and the Lizard come to life! You can also make yourself the star of a Spider-Man Comic and download exclusive comics with the App.!

Also if you scan the pizza box & The Amazing Spider-Man BluRay it triggers special Amazing Spider-Man experiences on your iPhone, iPad or Android. When I got home I got the dinning room table ready for our awesome Spidey Celebration.

I can’t tell you how much I loved the centerpiece that I put on top of our Holiday Cake stand to set the Spider-Man mood!

How cute is that centerpiece and this awesome Spider-Mad Toy!

As we got ready for the movie we also got to check out a Exclusive Walmart Bonus Features on Vudu. It was so cool and easy to stream it on Vudu. We then pulled out my Iphone one last time and brought Spider-Man to life by scanning the BluRay and Pizza Box. You can see his tiny body and the app in action in the picture below.

The kids and even my Fiance’ had a blast playing around with all our Spider-Man toys and watching the movie! It was the perfect movie night for this family of comic book loving nerds. I think I’ll do a celebration movie night party for every Marvel Movie that comes out since we have so much fun! I just hope they have more Apps to go along with each movie!
