The Minions Have Arrived At Universal Studios Hollywood!

Hey All!

I was recently invited to cover the yellow carpet and help Universal Studios Hollywood celebrate the opening of Despicable Me Minion Mayhem! It’s the all new immersive 3D Ultra HD digital animation adventure and expansive interactive experience, “Super Silly Fun Land.”

The event was filled with Minions, Minions and more Minions! As you can see I had a Minion hat which I wore on the yellow carpet proudly.

There were of course Minion cupcakes which were delicious!

All your favorite characters from Despicable Me were also in attendance to celebrate!

The ride is spectacular fun for the whole family! The vibrant colors of the exterior of the ride along will have your kids anxious to ride this experience over and over again.

LA Mayor Eric Garcetti made a special guest appearance to speak about the economic impact of tourism on the city of Los Angeles.  Vice Chairman of NBCUniversal; Steve Burke, CEO of NBCUniversal; Larry Kurzweil, President of Universal Studios Hollywood; “Despicable Me” stars, Miranda Cosgrove (Margo), Dana Gaier (Edith) and Elsie Fisher (Agnes) were also in attendance.

Chin Han of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Batman was also in attendance.

Mario Lopez was our MC for the grand opening and he also bought his adorable family to celebrate as well!

“Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” is based on Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Academy Award® and Golden Globe Award-nominated film franchise, and created in collaboration with Chris Meledandri, founder and CEO of Illumination Entertainment.  The ride will resonate with the same endearing qualities and characters that catapulted the franchise to worldwide blockbuster fame.

Check out this video below of the grand opening! It was truly a spectacular site to see!

The ride is officially open to the public now! Head out to Universal Studios Hollywood to experience it for yourself. For more information on the ride and park visit
