Hey All!
Last week I got the most magical package in the mail and of course it came from the fabulous folks at Disney! The folks at Disney know how to make everything they do magical. I was sent a beautiful w package in honor of the fabulous film The Odd Life of Timothy Green! It’s similar to the wooden box, pencil, and note pad that Jennifer Garner (13 Going on 30, Juno) and Joel Edgerton (Warrior, Animal Kingdom) who play Cindy and Jim Green use to express their wishes for their dream child in the film and end up having their wishes come true with Timothy Green.
Seeing this beautiful box sitting in front of me made me think about how much I long to grow my family with a little girl. My fiance’ and I sat that in front of the box and thought of all the qualities we would love to have in our daughter and wrote them down just like they do in the movie. We would love an independent, kind, thoughtful, loyal, and selfless child who isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in!
I do love that when we finish writing our thoughts on the pad and it runs out of paper we can then plant it and grow something special. I digress…
We came up with so many qualities ranging from Red Curly hair to various traits and personality qualities we’d love her to have. I have been dreaming of having a little girl of my own for as long as I can remember. I even saved all of my toys from when I was a little girl to give her to play with one day. Sadly, I have not been blessed yet with that little girl, but taking the time to sit there and talk about our dreams and hopes that one day we would be blessed with a little girl made it seem all the more real that one day soon our dreams may become a reality just like Timothy Green. I know there are no guarantees in life and who knows if we’ll ever get a little girl, but I know that just having this small box that we took the time to share the love we will have for this child makes that hope live on with in us. I know we will have another child that encompasses everything we hope our children to be. I know having our teen has already been a dream come true and I know there are many more dreams to come.
I hope that you get inspired by The Odd Life of Timothy Green on August 15th! It’s inspired me and I know you will love it just as much as I do.
