A Big Thanks To Nickelodeon and Paramount+ for inviting me to the virtual press junket for the new Spongebob movie: THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SPONGE ON THE RUN. Also thanks to thanks to Nickelodeon and Paramount+ for the amazing gift box we received in the mail!
Hey All!
In case you haven’t heard, Spongebob is back and he’s got an amazing new movie streaming today on Paramount+! THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SPONGE ON THE RUN! I was super excited for the chance to attend the virtual press junket for the new movie and once again speak to the amazing cast of Spongebob. We’ve spoken a number of times. So much so Spongebob himself Tom Kenny always remembers me when he sees me! I love Spongebob!
This movie is the first-ever all CGI SpongeBob motion picture event and follows SpongeBob SquarePants, his best friend Patrick, and the Bikini Bottom gang star in their most epic adventure movie yet! When SpongeBob’s beloved pet snail Gary goes missing, a path of clues leads SpongeBob and Patrick to the powerful King Poseidon, who has Gary held captive in the Lost City of Atlantic City. On their mission to save Gary, SpongeBob and his pals team up for a heroic and hilarious journey where they discover nothing is stronger than the power of friendship.
From Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Movies, in association with MRC Film, THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SPONGE ON THE RUN is a United Plankton Pictures production. Directed and written by Tim Hill from a story by Tim Hill and Jonathan Aibel & Glenn Berger, the film features the voice talent of Tom Kenny, Awkwafina, Matt Berry, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence, Mr. Lawrence, and Reggie Watts.
I’m definitely subscribing to Paramount+ to have the opportunity to not only see this amazing movie, but you also get all your favorite Nickelodeon shows like Blue’s Clues, Paw Patrol and more! I’m going to be enjoying this amazing package these sent me and watching the movie this weekend! I hope you will too!
I digress… At our zoom round table press event I was lucky to chat with with Carolyn Lawrence, Clancy Brown, Bill Fagerbakke, Tom Kenny and Rodger Bumpass. I was able to ask one question of the cast and that was, “How does it feel to have been playing these characters for so long and how do they stay excited about them?”
Clancy Brown responded that he’s just happy to have work and that the character has become a part of them. Tom Kenny also agreed and said it’s always so creative and different each time they do a project for Spongebob. It’s never boring and it’s always something new and creative that they work on with each program they work on. They showcased that it was an honor and privilege to get the opportunity to place these characters for so long.
The whole cast was thrilled to be a part of something that has now been around for generations. I grew up with Spongebob and I’m thrilled to be able to share it with my own family today. There any so many more Spongebob tales left to tell and I look forward to seeing them all on Paramount+!
Another amazing new Spongebob program coming to Paramount+ is NICKELODEON: KAMP KORAL: SPONGEBOB’S UNDER YEARS!
