Hey All!
A few weeks ago I have the amazing opportunity to attend the grand opening of the mother of all candy and chocolate stores in Los Angeles called non other than Sweet!. The store truly is the best candy store in the world! It’s a 30,000 square foot candy store and it is the most amazing candy store I have ever seen!
The entrance even has a smaller door entrance labeled kids only! How cute is that!
The windows are beautiful as well and are complete with mini Oompa Loompas depicting various scenes in honor of Willie Wonka! The windows were designed by the Academy Award winning Moonbot Studios.
They have a gumball machine powered by a bright red Ferrari that you race your gumballs through a huge metal maze in the ceiling!
There is a huge Nestle Crunch Bar in the floor that crackles when you step on it and a Yucky Candy Room complete with candy that makes you think “Yuck” but still tastes amazing!
There are 12 unique candy boutiques with in Sweet! which make it so unique. It’s like 12 little shops in one!
My favorites have to be the WONKA Inventing Room where you can craft your own candy bar! I met some real Oompa Loompas there and it’s just a beautiful artisan chocolate shop! It’s also like the Chocolate Factory came to life as so many of the famous chocolates straight out of the Charlie and The Chocolate Factory story are actually made here! Like the chocolates that look round aka look around!
Or these amazing chocolates inspired by Wonka’s travels! They are so beautiful you don’t want to eat them! The special assortment tells, in chocolate form, the untold story of Wonka’s travels around the globe and through distant galaxies. Wonka stirred the sights, sounds, flavors and colors from his adventures into new, handmade chocolate truffle collections.
My next favorite had to be the Sticky Candy Making shop!
They can truly make such Amaaaaazing hand crafted candy right in front of you! And they can even put in phrases, words, and images in the candy!
They made me my own queen of swag candy and I’ll share that with you in another post! But you can see what the candy looks like in the picture below. It goes from a mix of colors to a perfectly round candy with amazing words in the middle. It’s really like magic and it tastes amazing too!!! I loved this shop in particular as it’s a small family owned business that is straight from Australia! You can find the actual owners (One is seen above in the Green lettered t-shirt) making the candy and behind the counter!
It’s really so great to see a small business thriving! I LOVE STICKY!
My other love in Sweet has the be the Stay Puft Mashmallow Man Shop!!!
Yes straight out of the movie Ghostbusters comes the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man shop with tons of amazing marshmallow treats!
What’s even more amazing is Stay Puft left his footprints in the the floor of his shop!
It’s beyond amazing and when I saw this section of Sweet I almost cried I loved it so much! You don’t even know how much I love the Stay Puft Marshmallow man! Probably just as much as I love Disney! You can buy various amazing flavored Stay Puft Marshmallows in this shop as well!
They also have a make your own Chocolate bar section called the Chocolate Lab! You can actually pick what you want to go inside your bar and you get 3 bars with every batch you make!
They have an extensive collection of licorice from all over the world!
A Shop with chocolate shoes! How fabulous are those! They also have their own Route 66 and…
These amazing sample machines that allow you to try candy before you buy it to make sure you like the candy before you actually spend money on an entire bar or bag of candy!
I think that is such a brilliant idea as how many times have you bought something that you wanted to try and hated it? With these fun machines you don’t have to go through that regret any more!
I can go on and on about what makes Sweet! the World’s Most Amazing Candy Emporium but you’ll have to check it out for yourself! It truly is a site to see and did I mention there are piano key steps that actually play as you go up them that lead you too the store! Run to Sweet! the next time you’re in Hollywood! i GUARANTEE you will love it just as much as I do!
If Willy Wonka designed a candy store, it would be Sweet! Hollywood. His spirit of fun, wonder and entertainment is everywhere you turn. It’s a must-see shopping and entertainment destination!
