I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see “Fifty Shades Darker” in theatres on February 10th! I’ve been looking forward to it since “Fifty Shades of Grey” came out in 2015! It’s a great movie to see with your girlfriends on Valentine’s Day, especially when you’re single.
In case you haven’t heard about this awesome film, here is the synopsis below:
When a wounded Christian Grey tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.
I’m not single, but I still love to do something with my single girlfriends this time of year. I love to spend time with my gal pals, so I figured I’d throw fun Fifty Shades Darker gal pal party to celebrate the movie we love and can’t wait to see. We did a masquerade theme with a gray and white theme of colors to match the film.
For our party, I made heart shaped Rice Krispy treats. They are dipped in white chocolate, covered in gray and white sprinkles, and have edible letters on them to spell out Fifty Shades Darker. You can easily make these with a heart cookie cutter, white chocolate candy melts, sprinkles, and either a store bought sheet of Rice Krispy treats or make your own recipe.

Fun party decorations including these Fifty Shades Darker straws, which were made with a label maker and some black and white striped straws.
We also had a fun themed drink, which I call a “Let’s get shady” wine spritzer.
It’s made with this awesome Fifty Shades of Grey wine! Who knew this amazing wine existed.
Here is what you need to make the cocktail:
- Fifty Shades of Grey Wine
- Sparkling Water or Seltzer Water chilled
- Ice
- Pinch of Grenadine
Fill a glass filled with ice half way with either chilled Sparkling Water or Seltzer Water.
You then add a pinch of grenadine and your Fifty Shades of Grey wine to fill the glass.
You’ll place your Fifty Shades Darker straw in the glass and serve. How simple and cute is that drink folks?! Love it!
You always have to have goodie bags for your guests at any party.
Ours were filled with Fifty Shades darker makeup bags, books, lip balms, paper masquerade masks and some fun shirts thanks to Universal Pictures. You can fill this goodie bag with any fun themed items as well.
You lastly should have a fun photo booth and some photo props for the photos. You can make a photo wall by getting a fringe wall decoration and adding the words “Fifty Shades Darker” and some balloons.
You can download, print, and cut out those black masquerade masks you see above next to the book HERE. You can cut them by hand or use a craft-cutting machine. You can either punch holes in the side and pull some ribbon through or tape them to a wooden skewer to create a fun mask.
You can also download, print, and cut out these #TeamChristian or #TeamAna photo props as well HERE. Since Christian is trying to win back Ana in the film, you gotta route for your favorite characters to get back together.
With all of these fun ideas, you can definitely have a blasty blast with your gal or guy pals this Valentine’s Day. I hope you have as much fun at your own Fifty Shades Darker party, as we certainly have.
