Two Back to College Essentials!

This post is sponsored by Better Homes and Gardens® and Wamsutta®.

Hey All!

It’s that time of year when the kids are heading off to college and getting ready to move into their dorm rooms and college apartments. It’s both a fun time and a sad time to see them off.  There are two essentials I feel every college bound kid will need before it’s time to move into the dorm or their college apartments. They’ll need some amazing new sheets and towels! We found this awesome Better Homes & Gardens® 300 Thread Count sheet set at Walmart.

This is the coral freesia color in a queen size and it’s 100% cotton sateen and they are super soft! You can’t go wrong with super soft sheets for college living. They are also easy care, which is great for students who may be doing laundry for the first time and they are also available in a variety of great colors like this one.

They come with 1 flat sheet, 1 fitted sheet, and 2 standard queen pillowcases. That’s a great value for the price. Your college-bound kid will thank you for spending a little more to get 100% cotton because microfiber traps heat. There is nothing like a good sheet set to last your college-bound kid throughout the school year.

For towels we found these awesome Wamsutta® Hygro® Duet towels at Bed Bath & Beyond! They are so soft to the touch and are great for college students because they get loftier and fuller after washing due to the proprietary HygroCotton®. You definitely want a towel that will last multiple washes in a college dorm. I know we did!

We got the slate color, but they are available in a variety of great colors. You can get a bunch of these in different colors to have multiple towels to use for the school year. They are definitely a great value for the price.

I love buying products that I know are great and will last my family a long time. It’s exactly what you should be looking for when you’re also sending kids off to college.

I’m so happy we found these amazing towels and sheet sets.

They’ll be perfect for a dorm room!

If you’re looking for some great value sheet sets and towels for your college student, I highly recommend you check out these Better Homes & Gardens® 300 Thread Count sheet set at Walmart and these Wamsutta® Hygro® Duet towels at Bed Bath & Beyond.

Happy shopping for all those college dorm essentials!

  • I don’t have college aged kids (just yet) and the idea of sending them of makes me sniffle a little.. although knowing they are going off to college prepared and with all the things they need gives me more confidence. And knowing I can find these things at Walmart for a great price is even better!

  • Nice sheets and towels are always welcome in college. I remember how important they were to me. It was a little taste of home.

Having high-quality linens is so important in college. They have to go through those industrial washing machines all the time and you use them over and over . . . these look like great picks!

I have that Better Homes & Gardens sheet set for my girls, it’s great. We aren’t to college yet, but this is a great list of essentials.

  • Those are all great things to remember to take. Especially towels! I have a million towels and i think they are so important to have. I didn’t go to college but I love watching these kinds of hauls on YouTube lol.

These things are important to have. My cousin will be in college soon and it’s hard to think that she will need to live in the dorm.

  • Towels and sheets, both super important and not only for back to school. I still love to splurge on good sheets or nice towels every now and again, and i’m 32. lol

  • I used to always work in the linens departments of stores. Never go below 300 thread count!

  • I love a good set of soft sheets. Depending on the style dorm room, if there’s a couch area, these would be great as couch covers as well! Love the fun colors

The shape of my bath towels is embarrassing. I keep meaning to replace them and get a new sheet set for my bed. Love this brand. It’s what is currently on my bed

  • Two more years to go and we’ll be shopping for some college dorm room essentials. Love BHG products. They’re quality made.

Oh my goodness! This post certainly brings back memories. When my older daughter went to college, she and her roommate each chose a color, and everything they bought for their room had to be that color. My daughter chose purple, so her sheets, towels, clothes hangers … EVERYTHING had to be purple!
