Yummy Red, White, And Blue Haystacks!

Hey All!

With Memorial Day and July 4th coming up, I wanted to do a fun treat that celebrates the red, white, and blue and that you could enjoy on either day. Who doesn’t love a cute patriotic snack?! I know I do!Ā  Check out these Yummy Red, White, And Blue Haystacks! They are super easy to make and tasty. They are a fun finger food to celebrate the USA with!

Here is how to make them!

Line a large cookie sheet with wax or parchment paper. Set aside.Ā Add the chow mein noodles and cocktail peanuts to a large mixing bowl. Gently toss to mix and set aside. In a double boiler (or Wilton candy warmer), melt the white candy melts over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and cool for 2-3 minutes.

Pour the melted white chocolate on top of the peanuts and chow mein noodles and gently toss to coat.

Transfer the mixture onto the lined cookie sheet , in the shape of “haystacks.”

Decorate each haystack with the red, white and blue sprinkles of your choice.

In a small microwave bowl, microwave the red candy melts for 45 seconds. Stir until melted.Ā  Drizzle the melted red chocolate on top of half of the haystacks.Ā  Sprinkle with red white and blue star-shaped sprinkles.

You then microwave the blue candy melts for 45 seconds. Stir until melted. Drizzle on top of the remaining haystacks. Sprinkle with patriotic star shaped sprinkles.

Lastly, you let them chill for 20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden. That’s it you’re done! This makes 1 dozen of them!

Serve and ENJOY!! You can store the haystacks in a single layer in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

I hope you enjoy these Yummy Red, White, And Blue Haystacks as much as I do!
