I know it’s Memorial Day and we’re all celebrating those amazing service men & women who help keep America safe and get our BBQ on, but we’re also kicking off our Donut Week posts today as well! We started doing this last year and this year we decided to keep our donut love train going. We’ll be sharing a donut themed DIY and recipe every day this week until National Donut Day on Friday! Since we’re celebrating the tastiest of week celebrations ever, we figured we needed to make some Easy DIY Donut Confetti to celebrate with! It’s the cutest thing ever and Hello…How else would you celebrate the start of Donut Week?! You need some donut themed confetti to toss!
Here is how to make this tasty treat confetti:
- Pink, Purple, Yellow, Lilac, and White Cardstock
- Shredding Machine
- Scissors
- Our Mini Donut Confetti Printable
- Fringe Scissors
- Cricut Cutting Machine
- 1 inch hole punch or standard size hole punch.
You can do this confetti in two ways. If you have a Cricut Cutting Machine, you can DOWNLOAD Our Mini Donut Confetti Printable HERE and upload it into the Cricut Design space. You can use the print and cut feature to print these on the white cardstock and cut out these mini donut confetti pieces perfectly.
Or if you don’t have this craft machine, you can cut them out by hand using your scissors and a 1 inch size hole punch for the entire donut shape and a standard regular sized hole punch for the center hole of the donut.
You shuffle the donut colors around so they blend well.
You then use your shredding machine to shred up the other colors of cardstock. You use your scissors to cut them into little square shapes as well. You can also use your fringing scissors to cut the cardstock into pieces. It just depends on how small you want your confetti pieces.
I like my confetti pieces on the larger and square size for this confetti. You mix up your mini donut confetti with your shredded cardstock confetti and their you have one colorful blend of adorable donut confetti.
You’re free to toss and celebrate all that is incredible about the donut!
