Hey All!
So I recently had the opportunity to chat with the fabulous Jamie Chung (Miho from Sin City and Mulan from Once Upon A Time) who stars in Big Hero 6. We chatted about her role in the film as Go Go and about her thoughts on being a blogger.
Yes in case you didn’t know Jamie is a Blogger. She blogs over at her site called What The Chung! Such a clever name I know. She was a delight to chat with and she was kind enough to flatter me by saying she knew my blog. She probably didn’t, but it was nice of her to say she did. She’s such a sweet person and it was like hanging out with an old girlfriend.
When I asked her how it felt to have played so many of the most memorable Asian Disney Characters and if she feels any pressure to do these sort of roles of women who kick butt so to speak.
Jamie:
I don’t think of it that way. They aren’t roles I gravitate too, they are just roles that come my way and that I feel fit me and my personality.
I then wanted to know if she got the role of Go Go.
Jamie:
I auditioned for the role a few times and got the role. It took some time for the project to get done, but my character stayed pretty much the same from start to finish.
I then wanted to know about her blogging. She’s a successful actress by day and blogger by night. I’m sure all bloggers can relate to having a day job and then a blog. I’m sure we obviously can’t relate to the Fame Jamie Experiences of course, but it can be hard to juggle a blog and career at the same time. I of course asked for some advise on how she juggles both.
Jamie:
You just have to use it as a medium to share your journey. That’s what I do. It’s just a means to share what’s going on in my life. You have to make it something you enjoy doing. Because what’s the point of doing something you don’t love.
