Easy Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts!

Hey All!

With Summer in full effect and it being the time to head to the beach, I’ve been doing my best to try to eat healthier and to make healthier meals for myself. I was thrilled to partner with Got Milk? to share one of my favorite healthy recipes that pairs with some delicious milk. Today I’m sharing this Easy Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts recipe, which I paired with some delicious milk mixed with a hint of cinnamon. I don’t know about you, but I love to drink a big glass of milk sometimes with my meals. It’s the perfect refreshing drink to pair with my brussels sprouts! I’m obsessed with this recipe and I hope you will be too! I eat them every other day of the week and they taste soooo good!

Also if you want to learn why milk does a body good, Throughout June, the “California Thrives on Milk” campaign will offer a series of free educational activities and events in Los Angeles, Fresno and Bakersfield. Registered dietitians will host weekend “smart shopping” grocery store tours to help shoppers identify nutritious food choices, understand nutrition labels, and share healthy meal recipes incorporating milk. How cool is that?

The “California Thrives on Milk” also supports the USDA’s Summer Meals program, which offers healthy meals for kids when school is out of session. The program is open to everyone 18 and under, regardless of income and no paperwork or documentation is required. Families can find Summer Meals locations by texting FOOD or COMIDA to 877-877 or by calling 2-1-1 or visiting https://www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks.

Just had to share that, as it’s so important for kids and adults to learn about and get healthy meals! Here’s how to make this awesome recipe!

  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 pound of Brussels Sprouts
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Baking Sheet

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. While your oven is heating up, you’ll cut your brussels sprouts into halves.

You’ll also cut a slit down the middle of each half, so they become more crunchy when they bake. Don’t cut all the way through the sprouts. You just want the sprouts to be able to vent.

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place all the sprouts onto a baking sheet.

Add your salt, pepper, and minced garlic onto the brussels sprouts. You then drizzle on your olive oil and sprinkle on your parmesan cheese.

Place them in the oven for 15-20 minutes, then pull it out and rotate them so each sprout bakes evenly and gets crunchy. Bake them for another 15-20 minutes and you’re done!

Add them to a bowel and enjoy! You can also add some more shredded parmesan cheese to them or serve as is. Either way is amazing! I can eat a whole bowl of these myself!

I love eating these while sipping on a tasty glass of milk mixed with a hint of cinnamon.

I place a teaspoon of cinnamon in my milk for a hint of flavor. You’d be surprised by how much a tiny bit of cinnamon can go a long way.

I love drinking milk while eating my Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts, because it allows me to get some dairy and fiber into my diet in one meal.

In case you didn’t know, brussels sprouts are very high in fiber and potassium. They are also good for blood pressure!

Like I said before, I’m trying to get healthy for this summer and eating tasty meal pairings like this often is helping me achieve that goal!

It’s easy to stay on a diet and get healthy, when the recipes I’m making taste so darn good!

I hope you love these Easy Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts as much as I do! Be sure to pair it with a nice glass of yummy milk mixed with a hint of cinnamon. You definitely want to get the whole package of flavors when you make this recipe pairing!
