Hey All!

The Holidays are always a very magical time for me and my family at the Disneyland Resort. With so many amazing holiday themed festivities, entertaining events, sparkling decorations, delicious treats and holiday shopping, The Disneyland Resort is the perfect place to visit to celebrate the Holidays. This season at Disneyland is filled with lots of new holiday fun. I had the amazing opportunity to shoot a few videos at the park to preview the holidays with my family and we had a spectacular time.

Check out this video below with info on all the fun in store at the Disneyland and California Adventure Parks.

The new “World of Color − Winter Dreams,” is a spectacular addition to Disneyland Park holiday traditions.

Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, “it’s a small world” Holiday and  the “Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks.  The fireworks are always followed by a holiday snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A., New Orleans Square and “it’s a small world” mall.

Check out this preview of the beauty of the Castle at night at Disneyland. It’s truly a magical site to see.

Of course, Santa Claus appears in the parade throughout the season and also will be greeting guests and listening to holiday wishes through Dec. 24. I got the opportunity to chat with Santa himself about our favorite holiday treats at Disneyland with a few fellow blogger friends. Here is what Santa had to say about the Disneyland Resort.

The Tree on main street is always such a beautiful site to see at Disneyland.

Of course you can also find your favorite Snowman Olaf and the Princesses from “Frozen” and the from epic adventure “Thor: The Dark World.” you can find Thor himself in Tomorrowland.  Thor: Treasures of Asgard invites guests to a chamber where the Bifrost transports them to Asgard for an audience with Thor, the Mighty Avenger.

All the Holiday fun is not only found at Disneyland. Disney California Adventure is getting its own spectacular seasonal makeover with festive – and often whimsical – holiday décor in Cars Land.

You can also find “a bug’s land,” Paradise Pier and Buena Vista Street decorated for the Holiday season. The biggest addition to California Adventure is “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!”. It’s a joyous celebration inspired by Latino culture at Paradise Gardens, with festive music and dancing, vibrant colors, delicious food, Disney character appearances and fun activities for the entire family, Nov. 15, 2013-Jan. 6, 2014.

“Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” is a merry celebration inspired by the warmth and joyous spirit of the Latino culture, filled with holiday traditions, jubilant dancing and exciting music. Based in and around the Paradise Garden area of Disney California Adventure, the special activities include crafts and face-painting for children, live Latino music, dance lessons, holiday foods, a “Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party” and, of course, appearances by some popular Disney characters.
Disney characters participating in “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy in their festive costumes along with the Three Caballeros: Donald Duck, Panchito Pistoles from Mexico and Jose Carioca from Brazil.
Paradise Garden will be decorated with holly, banners and Latino cultural icons, including traditional “papel picado” hand-cut paper art decorations.

The exciting “Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party” takes over Paradise Garden several times a day, featuring the Three Caballeros on a festive holiday float, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse transported on colorfully decorated street tricycles, flag-bearers carrying papel picado banners, Mexican folklorico dancers, samba dancers and drummers, plus giant “Mojiganga” puppets, including representations of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.

At the Paradise Garden bandstand, guests will enjoy performances by traditional mariachi, Norteño, and other regional music groups. Also at Paradise Garden, community music and folklorico troupes will perform throughout the day.
“Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” guests will find opportunities to enjoy fun arts and crafts, storytelling and face-painting, and they may also discover a selection of unique merchandise in the area.

Dining locations in Paradise Garden will add an array of popular Mexican food options for “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” Menus will feature Mexican dishes that are often served for the holidays, such as sweet tamales, pozole (hearty stew), chicken mole drumettes, pescado (fish) Veracruzano, champurrado (Mexican-style hot chocolate), sweet tamales, torta al pastor (pork sandwich), buñuelos (deep-fried sweet treat), choco flan and, for the Three Kings Day celebration, Rosca de Reyes bread.
The grand finale of “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” will be the special celebration of Three Kings Day (Dia de los Reyes) Jan. 3 through 6, 2014 in Paradise Garden.

“Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” adds a new twist to the traditional holiday entertainment at the Disneyland Resort. Guests also enjoy “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, nightly fireworks and snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland, along with holiday music, décor and characters in holiday attire throughout the resort. At Disney California Adventure, even Mater dons a red hat to meet guests inside the festively decorated Cars Land.
