Hey All!
I recently got invited to an incredible event to showcase all the amazing new characters and mazes being featured at this years Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood.
We also got to preview some of these amazing make up artists who bring the most gruesome monsters imaginable to life for Halloween Horror Nights. The artists were lead by xtreme horror make-up artist Larry Bones. His innovative team joined John Murdy, āHalloween Horror Nightsāā Creative Director to come up with some bone-chilling effects for this yearās event.Ā āHalloween Horror Nightsā begins on Friday, September 20, and continues on 21 select nights through November 2, 2013.
I was thrilled to see this year will include the incredible Zombies from “The Walking Dead”.Ā It’s one of my favorite shows and it’s surely to make Halloween Horror Nights the scariest year yet. It was amazing to see these skilled professionals create the illusions of severed heads, oozing wounds and slashed throats live. They truly work their magic to create these ghoulish creatures. This team of experts showcased their work on some of the scare-actors featured throughout āHalloween Horror Nights.ā You can see their work in the pictures below.
It was quite amazing to see the finished products. There were also costume designers on hand to distress and customize wardrobe, wig makers teased and twisted locks, and a graphic artist adeptly illustrated original āHalloween Horror Nightsā concept art.
Tickets to this yearās event are now on sale and available for purchase at www.UniversalStudiosHollywood.com/hhn, including a Front of Line ticket option that enables guests to enjoy priority access at each maze and theme park attraction, as well as an all-new VIP Experience ticket offering guests an enhanced guided tour of āHalloween Horror Nights.ā Ā Advance purchase is recommended as event nights will sell out. We go every year and we can tell you first hand that these nights do sell out! It’s truly one of the best haunts for Halloween in Los Angeles.
Halloween Horror Nights 2013 at Universal Studios Hollywood brings you face to face with the three-dimensional world of the most notorious and terrifying creatures from the big and small screen. There are many quality mazes, terror-filled Scare Zones and a fully re-imagined āTerror Tramā experience uniquely themed to todayās most definitive horror properties.
This yearās featured Halloween Horror Nights attractions include: āThe Walking Dead: No Safe Haven,ā based on AMCās Golden Globe-nominated show, āEvil Dead:Ā Book of the Dead,ā inspired by Sony Pictures Home Entertainmentās blockbuster remake of the cult classic, āBlack Sabbath 13 3D,ā based on the legendary heavy metal bandās darkest lyrics, āInsidious:Ā Into the Further,ā based on the 2010 thriller āInsidiousā and the upcoming sequel āInsidious: Chapter 2,ā and āUniversal Monsters Remix: Resurrectionā featuring the music of Artist/DJ Figure.
New original scare-zones include: The Purge based on Universal Picturesā blockbuster and upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release, and the Curse of Chucky, an all-new movie from the filmmakers of the unforgettable horror franchise inspired by Universal Home Entertainmentās upcoming release. First-ever access to extended portions of Universalās iconic backlot will take center stage this year as movie sets and soundstages become a thrilling new āHalloween Horror Nightsā backdrop, and the popular āTerror Tramā returns with hordes of flesh-eating zombies from āThe Walking Dead.ā The Terror Tram is what I look forward to most every year. You get to walk on famous sets like the Psycho set and it’s amazing how thrilling it can be.
I can’t wait to experience Halloween Horror Nights this year at Universal Studios. It’s going to be amazing and it’s one of the perfect ways to celebrate the Halloween Season. Who wouldn’t want to spend their night running from flesh eating Zombies. I know I would!
