Hey All!

As you all know I love the resort of Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loréto in Mexico! It’s such a gorgeous resort to visit. Check out my post on the resorts amazing amenities if you haven’t checked it out already. The food is to die for if you couldn’t tell on my previous post on the eats of the resort.

Now it’s time for me to sadly share my final post on the activities and adventures I had at the resort. I can go on and on about this resort, but you’ll have to go there and experience it for yourself.

The resort itself is amazing, but should you want to leave the resort to take in some of the local sites, a visit to Loréto is a must!

The town is so quiet and vibrant in rich colors and history!

I loved the colorful aspects of each building as we toured the town. How amazing are those pink pillars?

I of course could not leave the town of Loréto with out doing a bit of shopping.

The pottery and the spices were fantastic. I also picked up some vanilla liquor and some fabulous dresses and a shirt.

And the beautiful flower lined streets are truly a sight to see.

If you don’t want to leave the resort they offer beautiful hiking trails…

hiking trail

Complete with a very charismatic trail leader who will show you how to survive in the wilderness and how to live off the land.

He also showcased the history and what amazing things you can find in the surrounding areas of the resorts. Like there are actual rock paintings located around the resort. This seen below is a recreation of a rock painting by the resorts kids club. Just one of the fun activities for kids.

The resort is truly an outdoor explorer’s paradise.

You can take tours of the nearby Coronado, Danzante and Del Carmen Islands atop an inflatable APEX boat in the Sea of Cortez, and take PADI-certified SCUBA diving lessons in the indigo waters that explorer Jacques Cousteau once dubbed the “Aquarium of the World.”

Can you tell I’m having a blast on the boat!

boating

I can’t even swim but that didn’t stop me from floating in the Sea of Cortez!

We were lucky to be given the rare opportunity to go clamming! Not a normal offering at the resort.

diving

The resort also offers stand-up paddle boarding and glass-bottom kayaking!

Me and my friend Tee took off on our glass-bottom kayak and saw a stingray!

Once you’re done Kayaking, swimming, touring, or diving, you can enjoy the resort and all the festivities they host. I really enjoyed the Mexican Fiesta!

They put on a full show complete with amazing Mexican traditional dancing and the staff dresses for the occasion.

There was food, dancing, singing, and of course a breaking of a Piñata!

You can check me out in the video below failing terribly at trying to break the Piñata, but it was so much fun as you know I love Piñatas!

Ultimately the place is what you make it to be. You can be adventurous, active, or you can just sit by the poor with your flamigo floaty drinks. I brought these floaties with me just fyi.

You can also just sit back and relax on the gorgeous beach, which was one of my favorite things to do!
