Disneyland Inspired Fruity Pebbles Pretzel Rods!

Hey All!

I recently went to Disneyland for Mother’s Day and I can’t tell you how many amazing tasty treats I ate. I wanted to try everything I’ve been meaning to try for some time. Some of the treats I tried, I honestly thought I could maybe make a version of these at home when I’m in between Disneyland trips. I have to have something to tide me over until I get back to my happiest place on earth! While at Disneyland I had some Fruity Pebbles Pretzel Rods from Disneyland Resort’s Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff! The ones as the park are covered in caramel, white chocolate and Fruity Pebbles. I decided to make my own version inspired by these. I figured they would be super easy to make! Out of all the treats at Disneyland, a chocolate covered pretzel rod is something I can definitely handle making at home with a baby!

Here is how I made mine!

Pretzel Rods
White Chocolate Candy Melts
Fruity Pebbles Cereal
Caramel Bits (Optional)
Wax Paper
Large Baking Sheet Pan

So my version makes the Caramel optional. I found the caramel made it a little sweater than it had to be, but you can include it in your own rods if you’d like to. I simply chose to leave it off mine. If you want to include caramel, you’ll first melt your caramel bits and dip your pretzel rods into the caramel. You’ll let it harden up a little.

While the caramel is hardening, you’ll melt your white chocolate candy melts in the microwave for about 1-2 minutes. Stop the microwave half way to stir the chocolate to make sure it melts.

Once the chocolate is melted, stir in the Fruity Pebbles. Dip the pretzel rods with or with out the hardened caramel on them into the white chocolate Fruity Pebbles mixture.

Place each dipped pretzel rod onto wax paper on the baking sheet. Pour more of the chocolate Fruity Pebbles mixture onto the rod with a spoon so it becomes a little fuller looking on top. Let them harden up completely on the wax paper. You can put them in the fridge to harden faster.

Repeat the process for as many pretzel rods you’d like to make. You can make a few and place them in gallon sized sandwich bag and take them with you next time you go to Disneyland. I may consider doing this to save some money on treats next time!

They also go perfectly with this disco ball Mickey sipper filled with your favorite drink! I got it at Disneyland, but they also have it online at Shop Disney!

Stay tuned for more DIY treats inspired by Disneyland like this Mickey Ice Cream Pop Chocolate Fudge and I’ll be doing my own version of Mickey Ice Cream Pops as well!

It’s going to be a Disney filled summer folks! Get ready!
