DIY Sprinkle Mix Halloween Costume!

Hey All!

I hitting you with a special weekend Halloween DIY today, as I usually don’t post on the weekend. I have so much Halloween content, that if I don’t post on some weekends, it won’t all get posted so we’ll be hitting you with some surprises on the weekend this year like this DIY Sprinkle Mix Halloween Costume! If you saw my @BriteandBubbly Instagram Stories, you’d know I have a serious sprinkle hoarding problem and I hoard Sweetopolita’s Sprinkle Medley mixes the most. I am obsessed with her sprinkles! She makes the best sprinkles in the history of ever and you need to get to her online shop asap, so you can buy ALL the sprinkles! All of them. Just like I did! LOL. In honor of this sprinkle obsession, this year I decided to make a sprinkle mix costume inspired by them in honor of the queen of sprinkles and the sprinkles I love so much. It didn’t come out exactly as I planned, but it still came out cute. I wanted the costume to be a similar shape as the actual bottles.

It takes a bit of time to do, but if you love sprinkles as much as I do, it’s worth it.

You simply cut the garment bag down to a length that fits your body. You the cut two arm holes, one out of each side and a whole at the top of the bag for your head.

You then stick on a long strip of velcro pieces to each side that had the zipper on it. This will hold your costume shut. You then begin to cut the straws into smaller pieces. I cut my straws into 3 pieces each. This helps each straw produce the most sprinkle shapes. You then glue the straw sprinkles to your costume in random patterns inside your garment bag. You’ll also glue in various foam pieces around the bag to create your rainbow sprinkle mix.

Once all your pieces are glued on, let it dry completely. You then used your Cricut Cutting machine or your scissors to cut out a scalloped edge circle from the pink stick-on vinyl. You’ll then stick that onto the center of the front of your costume. You’ll then cut out a white circle from your white stick-on vinyl. You’ll place that in the center of the scalloped pink circle on the costume. You’ll then cut out the words “Rainbow Sprinkle Mix” or any phrase you’d like to go on your sprinkle bottle label and you’ll stick it onto the white circle.

Lastly, you’ll cut out a hot pink circle from your stick-on vinyl and stick it to the bottom corner of your costume. You’ll cut out the number 7 and OZ to show how big your bottle is and stick it onto the hot pink vinyl circle on your costume.

You’ll be done with the costume part and move onto the lid headpiece. You’ll hot glue your round 10 inch White Cake Board to a strip of your white scallop edge border roll. Making sure to cut a strip that fits perfectly around the round cake board. Careful as you hot glue.

You’ll glue it onto a white headband and you’re done with the entire costume. That’s one cute sprinkle mix costume!

This is my 1950’s angelic food character pose below. lol. I feel like that dancing food you saw in those old commercials.

This costume was a little bit of work to do and it does wrinkle up on the sides as you move around, which I didn’t expect. But I still love that I made it and how fun it is! I hope you love this sprinkle mix costume as much as I do!
