Hey All!
With July 4th coming up and lots of summer BBQ’s ahead of us, we needed to come up with some fun BBQ themed treats to go along with our tradition BBQ dishes. Who says all Summer BBQ dishes have to be savory, we need some sweet too! That’s why we made these Fun and Easy Corn On The Cob Rice Krispies Treats! Who doesn’t love some corn on the cob at a Summer BBQ? I know I do! I especially love when their mini and actually rice krispies treats!
How fun are those folks?!! Love them!
Here is what you’ll need to make them for your own Summer BBQ’s and for the 4th of July!
- 5 cups Rice Krispy Cereal
- 1—10 oz. pkg. Mini Marshmallows
- 4 Tbsp. Butter
- Yellow and Green Food Coloring
In a large saucepan melt the butter and marshmallows, stirring constantly.
Divide the melted marshmallows into 2 bowls, putting about ¼ in one bowl, and ¾ in the other bowl.
Color the smaller portion of marshmallows with green coloring and the larger portion with the yellow coloring.
Add about 4 cups of the rice cereal to the larger portion and about 1 cup of the rice cereal to the smaller portion and mix well.
Shape the yellow mixture into little corn on the cob shapes.
Shape the green mixture into little corn stems and leaves.
Attach the stems and leaves to the ends of the cobs by pressing them on.
That’s all you have to do to make them! They are super easy and fun to make and eat. They are also great for summer parties!
