I recently had the amazing opportunity to meet with LG to get a preview of their new OLED TVs and learn about the differences between LCD TV and OLED TV. As you can see below there is a big difference in the amount of components that go into an LCD screen, while OLED is just a singular piece. It’s very interesting to see up close as who knew there were so many pieces in just the screen of an LCD TV.
It was a fantastic experience as I truly got hands on experience with this fantastic new technology. The representatives from LG were extremely helpful and detailed with their demonstration.
Their 55” FHD OLED TV (EC9300) was on display showcasing a side-by-side comparison with a competing high-end LCD TV. EC 9300 is LG’s second generation OLED TV which has just launched in the U.S. market.
In these photos above and below you can see the dramatic difference between the high-end LCD TV on the left and OLED LG TV on the right.
The OLED TV truly slays the competition with it’s incredible vibrancy and crisp blackness. I have never seen the color black look this good on a tv before. It truly allows for the colors and definition of the objects on the screen to truly pop. OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode, which describes the material that creates the unique light source in these next-generation TVs. By eliminating the needs for a backlight, OLED offers an incomparable picture quality and design potential to conventional LCD(LED) TVs. LG OLED TV is the winner of EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) Award for 3 consecutive years.
Attending this event has truly allowed me to see why it’s won so many awards. I mean look at this strawberry!
The TV that is now my dream tv is the 65” 4K OLED TV (EC9700), which you can’t yet find in the market. We were given an exclusive preview of this model before it hits the market, even before it goes to a major consumer electronics show like CES(Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas) or IFA(Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin). I felt so special to get this opportunity.
It’s incredibly thin and it’s got that fabulous curved screen.
When the TV was powered on, my mind was literally blown. As you can see in the pictures below, This is the clearest high definition TV I’ve ever seen!
The clarity and detail you can see on this TV is incredible.
None of these photos are edited in any way. The TV is just that amazing. You could seriously even see the cracks in the cobblestone streets.

The 65” 4K OLED TV (EC9700) is truly my dream TV. I can only hope Santa will bring me this TV for Christmas when it’s release as I would probably cry I love it so much.
