The Little Mermaid 30th anniversary Cupcakes!

Hey All!

As a huge Disney nerd and someone who has been covering Disney and sharing my love of Disney here on the blog since we began this site, you can imagine how excited I was to see that a new 30th Anniversary edition Blu-Ray came out for one of my favorite Disney animated films The Little Mermaid! I figured the best way to celebrate would be to create some fun and easy to make Ariel inspired cupcakes! Who doesn’t want a tasty Disney themed treats to enjoy as you watch the film on your new Blu-Ray? I know that’s what I’ll be doing!

If you’d like to celebrate the film too with these cupcakes, here is how to make them!

  • 6 Prepare Cupcakes (Purple Liners)
  • 1 Cup Green Chocolate Discs
  • 1 Can Red Frosting
  • Mermaid Tail Silicone Mold

In a microwaveable safe bowl, melt chocolate according to package directions. Make sure to stir chocolate as it melts.

Pour into each mold then spread with a knife over the top to remove any excess. Let harden for about 45 minutes to an hour.

You then carefully pop each tail out of the mold. Pull and stretch the sides of the mold a little bit to help the chocolate loosen. If any break, take leftover melted chocolate and “glue” it back together.

Lastly you add frosting to a piping bag or baggie and snip the corner. Pipe frosting on each cupcake and add a tail in the center.

That’s all you have to do to make these adorable simple cupcakes.

I hope you enjoy these amazing cupcakes as you watch the film and relive all the magic of the film.

Have fun munching and singing along!
