Things I Wish I Knew Then!

Hey All!

Surprisingly enough, I only have two car buying experiences in my entire adult life. One was buying my car and the other was when my husband bought his car. I vaguely remember what it was like as a kid when my parents bought a car, but I confess I never really paid attention much. When I bought my first car, I wish I had more knowledge of the car buying experience. I’m a born and raised New Yorker and I didn’t see the point in really spending too much time buying a car. It wasn’t until I decided we were moving to California, that I decided to get my license and buy a car. I’m happy to say that car is the same car I drive today! She’s still kicking and works perfectly!

My only regret when buying my car is that, I didn’t take my time or do more research before buying my car. I know I paid way too much for my car and I basically bought a used car for substantially more than I should have. If I could give some advice to my younger self if she were buying her first car today, I would tell my first time car buying self to check out the Capital One’s Auto Navigator® site. It’s a one-stop-shop that makes it a whole lot easier to find your dream car and finance it. Capital One’s Auto Navigator® site makes the new car buying experience so much easier.

You can find out if you pre-qualify for auto financing with no risk to your credit score, which is great! You can figure out what’s best for you financing wise in advance, as opposed to waiting until getting to the car dealership. The Capital One’s Auto Navigator® site will also show you your estimated monthly payment and APR on cars you choose. That’s great to see what your options are. You don’t even have to go out to dealers to find your dream car. You can use the Capital One Auto Navigator® site to find a car by searching over 12,000 dealerships’ inventory by make, model, price and more! How awesome is that folks?!! I know my first time buyer self could have really benefited from this site and it probably would have been the smarter route to take to finding and buying my car.

As we plan on expanding our family, I know we’re going to need to start looking for a new car. Thankfully, I know better now and with the help of this awesome online tool I’ll be able to do a lot of research for our new car easily and from the comfort of my own home. If you’re first time buyer looking for a new car, visit the Capital One Auto Navigator® site HERE for more information and to get started on your dream car hunt today!
